You must have slept through last season because the OL was terrible. Dak being released is an asinine statement. Go take your meds.
And you must have slept through 2017 when Dak was terrible. Stop taking so many meds.

I think if you were to ask a defensive coordinator which passing game they would rather defend and they would say Daks. Defensive coordinators would game plan to stop Romo but right now they game plan to stop Zeke.
Dak has had some good wins but he is so reliant on the running game. When that gets shut down and he is asked to step up so far he hasnt been able to win.

A game winning drive is simply a drive after the start of the fourth quarter that puts the winning team ahead for the final time. It has nothing to do with the QB or any other one player. If Zack Martin picks up a fumble with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter and rumbles 99 yards for the touchdown and the Cowboys never give up the lead, it’s a game winning drive... that apparently a bunch of Dak slobberers would cite as proof of Dak being “clutch”.

More like your ability to use sarcasm. Maybe the glitch that you are always babbling about is between your ears, given how rarely your gibberish adds up to a complete sentence.

Tony was very clutch. He had lots of game winning drives within the last few minutes where he scored and then the defense would give up a touchdown and they would lose.

If tony didn’t do something amazing the cowboys lost. That is why his teams failed and his body gave out.

The cowboys are built different now. It works out better this way. Dak does have nerves of steel though.
Funny you say Romo would put us in position to win but the defense gave up the win. Did Dak not do the same against GB in a playoff game just for the defense to give up a deep pass and past second FG?

Dak is much more clutch than Romo and to me it's not even close. As a finished product Romo was the better QB but when he made mistakes most of the time it was at the end of games.

There was nothing "clutch" about Dak in the Green Bay game, he was a huge reason we were chasing the Packers the entire game. That's not clutch.

Compare what Romo did against the Lions to the Green Bay game - Romo helped put that game away with a TD, Prescott tied the game up not take the lead.

*Sigh*...........

This thread is like purposefully opening a can of worms. Like asking Apple vs. PC users, "Which is better, Mac or PC?" It's simply opening the can and purposefully pouring worms all over everyone's hair. It's just asking Romo supporters and Dak supporters to duke it out against each other. Why? Do you just like dropping sodium in water to watch it explode?

For the record, Romo was better, but Dak's not far behind, and over the course of his career to come, he might surpass Tony.

since aikman walked out the door the qb play for the dallas cowboys in the playoffs has been pretty average at best when they needed to make a big play to win a game they didn't
That's false. Dak has lost 2 playoff games, against GB Dak had over 300 yards passing and came from behind to put us in position to win. Defense game up a huge completion that set up GB for game winning FG. Against the Rams, with no run game and defense getting gashed for almost 300 yards rushing, Dak brought us back within 1 TD just to have the defense not be able to get the stop and get the ball back to the offense.

That’s a very weird way to describe Dak playing awfully for the bulk of two playoff games. Dak slobberers have 32-16 tattooed to their foreheads, but when they actually lose suddenly QB winz doesn’t tell the story.

What a bunch of baloney. Dak was clutch during that GB playoff loss. The whole first half, he had clutch throws brought back due to bogus penalties called by the crooked officials. Still being down 18 points halfway through the 2nd quarter, Dak brought the team back to tie the game at 31 all with 35 seconds left from going into overtime, yet once again, the officials made sure to step in and help Rodgers during those last 35 seconds, thus helping them win 34-31. Even then as a rookie and in his first playoff game (start), Dak threw for over 300 yards and at least 3 TDs, something Romo never accomplished in the 5 playoff games he started in during his 10 seasons as a starter.

As for the Romo-led Lions playoff victory game in 2014, that was nothing compared to the led and clutch performance Dak displayed this last playoff episode when Dak led the Cowboys to a victory at home against the Russell Wilson led Seahawks.

No way did Romo ever pose a dual threat with his arm and legs the way Dak does. Romo could scramble inside the pocket to create time for his receivers to get open, but never could Romo create game winning clutch plays with his legs beyond the line of scrimmage the way Dak does. No way.

Dak is more clutch. In 2 more years (total first 5 career starting years), Dak will pass in 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives what Romo took to accomplish in 10 starting seasons. You can take that to the bank. It will end this "who is more clutch" debate once and for all.

I’ll go with Dak. Prior to 2014 TR had a lot of late game collapses. Read an article where of the 48 loses Romo was a part of, close to 46% of those there had a late game mistake by the QB.
And if you read that and thought it made sense, I suspect that the other articles you read that day probably had something to do with Paw Patrol.

I have some data on this, regarding playoff performance.

Aikman passer rating: 121.1, above (1-0)

1994 San Fransisco D passer rating playing at home: 67.8
Aikman passer rating: 68.1, above (2-0)

1995 Philadelphia D passer rating playing at opponent: 62.4
Aikman passer rating: 101.6, above (3-0)

1995 Green Bay D passer rating playing at opponent: 93.2

2006 Seattle D passer rating playing at home: 75
Romo passer rating: 89.6, above (1-0)

2007 New York D passer rating playing at opponent: 74.9
Romo rating: 64.7, below (1-1)

2009 Philadelphia D passer rating playing at opponent: 77.8
Romo rating: 104.9, above (2-1)

2009 Minnesota D passer rating playing at home: 84.2

It’s Sunday so perhaps you are enjoying a beer or 10. That is how I will reconcile this.
