This is why I'm confident he'll win a min one Super Bowl......his heart and determination reminds me of Emmitt Smith.

why does this give you confidence? I can give you 40 other responses from other QBs and players in the past 10 years saying something similar!!! its called a sound bite and its what they are supposed to say.

Great! So go be that and the money will flow non stop. Don’t ask for one of the best ever money before you actually achieve that goal and truthfully are so far away from achieving it that even mentioning it at this point seems a little bit ridiculous. You aren’t even one of the best currently playing. You aren’t one of the best in Dallas history. You may not even be the best qb in your own division so stop talking and just go do it. Also, quit talking about sacrificing. Sacrifice a little money so you can get a deal done and they can keep talent around you so you can get about the business of becoming one of the best ever. Then I’ll believe all your talk. Wanting to be paid like super bowl winning QBs at this point, tells me his talk is just that.

For reasons most posters know ......you wouldn't understand

If you as a true Cowboy fan are not encouraged to hear this.....I don't know what to tell ya

Jesus Christ, you'd think it's something every fan would to like hear from every player on the roster.

Good God, anyone who discounts a QB who wants to be the best is just simply missing the point. Fans are criticizing Prescott for this? Lmao, the idiocy.
I'm glad we have a QB that wants to meet this goal, would you rather have a guy who doesn't look in shape and can't finish?

Hard to imagine having this kind of hate for a player leading your team. Hell, pick apart his all you like. I get that, but admonishing him for wanting to be best, crosses the line IMO.

From all accounts, it's been mentioned he's been working very hard and has improved. This is good news because it was said he didn't look the greatest in practice.
I heard the same.. His practice sucked but played well in games.. He was likely trying to practice throws in camp and practice and going with what he knows works in games.. Any improvement is good. I heard he is dropping dimes on his long ball also..

And I want to be younger, thinner and rich.

The journey begins with desire for many but few reach that destination. I've known plenty of people that wanted to be more than they were and it wasn't the lack of desire and dedication that prevented them from reaching their goal, it was simply not enough talent. Some are just born to it and I do think he will max out every bit of talent that he can muster but being compared to the best, one of which was a former Cowboy, is a rather lofty goal and he's already mentioned he wanted to be the GOAt Cowboys QB and honestly, that didn't sit well with me considering our past QB's.

I'd be happy if Prescott was on the same level as Romo and White.

That doesn't mean desire and heart don't matter. You want it in a QB, and if Dak has it, as it appears he does, then that's a good thing.

Of course you do, that’s just a moronic statement

Of course ANYONE would want desire and heart

The guy down the street from me might have the work ethic and desire to be the QB for the cowboys, that doesn’t mean he should be

ESP at the QB position in the NFL, talent is more important than anything else for greatness

It also certainly does not mean he should be paid 30 million per year

These lollipops and rainbows threads about Dak ignore the obvious facts that he had real basic deficiencies that he has shown an inability to improve on in the last 3 years when his job and a ton of money have been on the line

You think he will suddenly improve when he is actually making that money?

He is who he is and that’s not good enough

THE worst thing a franchise can do is to pay an average QB elite money hoping he will BECOME elite

He will keep us “relevant” but we’re nit winning a SB with Dak and Garrett
