And i want a 2020 mustang gt500
nobody is critizing ...its what they expect him to say, so its a soundbite...why are you foaming at the mouth for a type of statement that we have heard 100s of players say almost every year.Good God, anyone who discounts a QB who wants to be the best is just simply missing the point. Fans are criticizing Prescott for this? Lmao, the idiocy.
I'm glad we have a QB that wants to meet this goal, would you rather have a guy who doesn't look in shape and can't finish?
LOL. actually what they would say, that he is not lighter and a little faster which makes him better. then they will show you his stats before and after bowel movements to prove it...don't forget the logic that goes behind it.If Prescott had said, I had a great bowel movement this morning. His supporters would say he's improving and will one day be the best ever.
he is improving and so are the TEs. Gallup is improving. so on and so fort......and you can go through all 32 teams and say the same thing. it would be news if he wasn't improving. or not excited. and not driven. all of what he said is expected. so why fawn over it? why be confident for him saying something that expected to be said....It's because Dak is out there doing it, hard, every day, and it's been showing during OTAs and minicamp. Everyone has been noticing the drastic passing improvement.
And I want to be younger, thinner and rich.
The journey begins with desire for many but few reach that destination. I've known plenty of people that wanted to be more than they were and it wasn't the lack of desire and dedication that prevented them from reaching their goal, it was simply not enough talent. Some are just born to it and I do think he will max out every bit of talent that he can muster but being compared to the best, one of which was a former Cowboy, is a rather lofty goal and he's already mentioned he wanted to be the GOAt Cowboys QB and honestly, that didn't sit well with me considering our past QB's.
I'd be happy if Prescott was on the same level as Romo and White.
Tom Tebow imo had a better arm than Tim Tebow ever didDid Tim Tebow “want to win”?
Was Tom Tebow “determined to win”
How many SBs did he win?
Why not?
He didn’t have the talent to win
He will get the contract he deserves based on the market value, whether YOU think it's "elite" money or not, whether you like it or not. Franchise QBs are not easy to find.
Do it, don't say it openly.Dumb post. You don’t want him to be the best QB we’ve ever had? You have a problem that he wants to be the best we’ve ever had? Then you clearly have an agenda. I want every QB we have in the future to be the best we’ve ever had because that just makes us a better team.
I agree. Dak has not hit his ceiling yet. I don't know how much higher it is but he isn't there yet. He has a great attitude and works hard. Cant ask for more. He has a great team around him that makes his job easier. This year will answer some questions, some aren't going to be happy and will have negative things to say about or towards him regardless. Was the same way with our last QB. Undrafted player from a smallish school. Some were just never happy with him..The best thing about that is this team doesn't need Dak to reach that goal in order for them to reach theirs. The second best thing is that he doesn't think he's arrived yet.
There is a huge difference in confidence and cockiness. His Mom instilled self confidence in him when he was fighting for the QB1 role in high school and that carried over into college. The best self awareness of any player is that they are an incomplete project.
The difference between Dak and Emmitt is that Emmitt didn't share that goal until he was closer and it was actually his friend that revealed that goal when he shared that with him when he was a rookie.
There's also something else at work here with Prescott as it was with Romo. This is the most scrutinized position in all sports. Brady gets a 6th ring and Brees sets the yardage record and Dak's contract and the debate about his talent and value is everywhere, taking precedence over all things NFL. Could you imagine hearing, reading and seeing all of those things being said about you? And while he didn't intend it, Aikman's comment about accuracy can't be fixed pretty well set the bar on Prescott in the eyes of many.
The one thing I do know about Dak Prescott and was up on his story because of his Mom's illness and fight is that he will not stop trying to get better. He is not as good as he's going to get. He's not playing for the money, the fame, the fans, the Joneses or even himself, he's playing for his Mom. That's some powerful mojo for a young man. I saw the effect that had on Deangelo Williams as he stretched his talent to the maximum level and never forgot who he was playing for.
If you've ever had the occasion to watch someone fight the unbeatable foe but fight with everything within them until they've got nothing left, that stays with you. Do not underestimate this young man.
Do it, don't say it openly.
It’s hilarious that we’ve got posters taking the contrarian side on this topic. Hint: there’s no downside to this one. It’s just a nice little sentiment from a hard working dude. It doesn’t mean much, but it’s nice to hear him saying—and apparently, doing—the right things.

I do not think they're not Cowboys fans but I've yet to see anyone come forward with a better option. Even letting him play out this contract doesn't give the team a better option. I thought initially it did but it really doesn't. Just since we've begun talking about this contract, the market value has increased by 5M per year. Posters were upset at having to pay him 25M and are now hoping they can get him for 30M.Problem with you guys is, you’re Dak fans
Try to be a fan of the Cowboys for a minute
What is he gonna say?
“I don’t want to be the best?”

And we have a really good QB to stand pat with.. Just because a QB goes in the top 3 picks don't make him a franchise QB.. The best ever to play in most peoples eyes wasn't drafted till much later rounds. Those wanting us to tank a season or sell out a draft to get a top 3 QB in the draft are gambling harder than keeping what we already have..I do not think they're not Cowboys fans but I've yet to see anyone come forward with a better option. Even letting him play out this contract doesn't give the team a better option. I thought initially it did but it really doesn't. First off, the tank talk is just ridiculous, wouldn't the media love that? The league office would not allow it. The hunt for the next franchise QB has some stiff competition for the blue chippers and the history of this FO with QB's is that luck beats skill.
The fact is there are not enough good QB's to go around and out of the 2018 draft class only one looks like a keeper so far. The goal is not the best QB but the one that can best execute the offense and make the team a true contender. Once a team has their guy like CIN with Dalton or OAK with Carr, they've got to play the hand out. Can't draw to that hand, have to stand pat.
My opinion. Don't like? You know what to do.nobody is critizing ...its what they expect him to say, so its a soundbite...why are you foaming at the mouth for a type of statement that we have heard 100s of players say almost every year.
Try your own advice.Problem with you guys is, you’re Dak fans
