I say lets vote to outlaw the word hate and anyone that uses it gets a nasty DM from each staff member and banned for 6 years

I’m witcha CC. The “H” word is too often thrown around here to simply identify someone’s opinion they disagree with as “h***”. I’ll take the pledge to keep this place “h” free. Although I will reserve having a nuclear option to use on the E-Gals, midgets or Deadskins.

See, THIS is what detracts from the board. You literally just called someone here Jim Jones. I remember sitting in class when all of that hit the news. I vividly remember seeing the pictures of the dead people...the little kids. It was a horrible event that had an impact on me as a teenager. Horrible impact. I get it that "Drink the Koolaide" has become part of the vernacular. Most of the people using the phrase have no idea the impact it had on a great number of people. But you do know. You called him the murderer's name.

I come here, and have for years, because I love hearing about the Cowboys and following along with everything they are doing. This was always a family-friendly site with lots of great fans discussing our team. I come here to read other people's opinions because sometimes they shape my own. I come here because being a fan has been a part of my life...for all of my life.

I do not come here to hear you call someone the name of a deranged madman that took the lives of scores of people because they like a player that you do not. Not family-friendly at all.

THIS kind of post has turned this entire site into something I no longer enjoy and don't feel free to contribute to.

What an awful thing to call someone.

I don't know you and have no dislike for you. I am not, however, a fan of what you bring to a discussion. I'm not trying to make something out of nothing. You're trying make as if something truly terrible was nothing. You throw your insults around, laugh at others when called out on it and belittle anyone who disagrees with you. P.S. Calling other posters the name of a madman is not humorous.

That's the thing, when somebody gets you angry & having to argue with them like that, you're having to step down to their level and it's toxic.
It's honestly better just to shut it down.
Better for the blood pressure, too lol.
Some folks can really get under your skin.
Ol' Pap tends to get under mine honestly.

While I agree with everything you say what gets me shaking my head is the fact that there are a few here who are just as volatile as Pappy. I would even say more volatile. Somehow they get a pass only because they are perceived to be on the right side of the argument. Seems hypocritical to me.

Pappy gets beaten up hard here for no other reason than he has different opinion than the majority and has no problem expressing that opinion.

I really don't understand why that bothers some people SO much. Seems to me if one has a well thought out opinion which they are confident in they should not let differing opinions bother them. Especially to the point of feeling that need to fire up the bat mobile and come to the rescue. To me, the caped crusaders are the major detractors of this forum.

If you saw how much r a c i s t crap got spewed at the old official board after Dak became QB you would know why it got shut down. The sad thing is you had mods liking the posts and suspending people for speaking out against it. Before that people got banned for hateful crap then it magically flipped when the QB did.

Edit: many of those posters migrated here some were already here for a long time.

And what is the next phrase that will replace hate and how long until we get another thread like this?
