I'm with you. I've enjoyed how the team's been playing for the last five years, for the most part. I thought they missed opportunities in 14 & 16 to get to the NFC Championship game, but with increased frequent opportunities they might just break through.
I have thought they have lacked the talent on defense to win it all, but this year I'm very optimistic, especially with so much young talent at LB & the secondary, vets like Lawrence & Quinn off the edges and having a couple of squatty run stuffers like Woods & Covington at DT.
We need a real breakout performance at 3T, though, to get over the top IMO.
Either Collins suddenly lighting it up in s contract year or Hill coming on like gangbusters.
We shall see.
TBH, I have given Garrett a ton of grief.
With that said, I don't think he's a bad coach, maybe middle of the road?
He's done some good things.

Yep. Dak, and the defense, if either or both takes a step forward, this team ought to be the best we’ve had under Garrett, I think. We’ll see where it gets them.

I’m of the opinion some fans want us to lose. Maybe they’re more comfortable in misery.
Sometimes it really seems that way. Some a clearly more fond of teams in the past as well. Which I find odd and a little sad.

Did Tim Tebow “want to win”?

Was Tom Tebow “determined to win”

How many SBs did he win?

Why not?

He didn’t have the talent to win
Was Tim Tebow ever on the cusp of a 30 mil per year contract?
Was Tim Tebow the Rookie of the Year in the NFL?
Did Tim Tebow ever lead his team to the playoffs 2 out of his 1st 3 years?
Was Tim Tebow ever in the Pro Bowl?

You'd probably pay the lotto more aggressively if you had one of 32 possible winning tickets.

Sorry but that is still too much of a low odd for me. You are free to narrow it down if you desire.

what does that have to do with it? wouldn't Tebow want to be the greatest? improve? be one of the best in the league? the desire to achieve something has nothing to do with any of the above

ONLY THING I question with him is his pocket awareness at times. Thus...the fumbles and sacks. Other than that, he has proven he can do the job. Not going to kid myself and say he's elite, HE IS NOT. But this is the guy that gives the team the best chance at a SB now...until he isn't. lol ...until that time happens...I am all in. If he can reign in his shortcomings in the pocket, with Kitna's help...the sky is the limit. Can he have a special year, even better than his rookie year with some self discipline? HECK YES. All it takes is to catch lightning in a bottle 1 season. Look at Joe Flacco. Just a guy at QB...but a SB winning QB..the dude was King in Baltimore ever since. Denver thought highly of him too. Flacco isn't even as good as Dak, and HE WON. Dak would be King of his own private Island if he won a SB lmao..I am serious...the dude would be a rock star world wide. Just 1 SB win would be all it would take. He could flop every year after that and it wouldn't matter. Will 2019 be the "perfect storm" for Dak and the team to FINALLY win the SB? Camp in Oxnard will tell us a large part of that story. We will go how Dak goes. Despite Garrett, we have a shot.

been reading about Tim Tebow. When will you all take your foot of the guys neck? lol...All he did was win in Denver. He was **** on...Elway mishandled him badly. He was done wrong. While I agree with what he did bringing Manning there..it was proven correct, they should have kept Tim in the mix for life after Peyton. Denver would have had the chance for Tim to study under Manning, get more savy and MAYBE Denver wouldn't have had to draft several busts at QB and pull at straws with Flacco….Elway screwed up on Tim. Tim was a winner...albeit, he won ugly. A win is a win. The team was built around Tim Tebow and the style was a match. Too bad a good guy like him was run out of the league for MAYBE his religious leanings and how he never tried to hide that. I am proud of Tebow. I met him in Abilene about 2 years ago.He did a speaking event at the church we go to. What a stand up man.

There are plenty of threads for expressing more frustration. I know I'm in the huge minority, but I've enjoyed this run starting from 2014 on. We've had three teams that were capable of contending in the NFC in the postseason in 2014, 2016, and 2018. I think we have another in 2019. Considering there are 2-3 teams capable of contending in a conference on average each season, It's not exactly a Trail of Tears that we haven't made farther yet. Teams win championships by building contenders and taking advantage of their breaks. It's a good thing that we're in that group right now, and it's hard to get here. I'm not going to waste it by being pissed off about it until the team delivers what we all want to see. Being a contender is what makes watching football fun.
Could not agree more but I am not a SB or bust fan.

I do not get all of the focus of last season on the run D in LA after that turnaround and winning a playoff game. Wait, yes I do. There are some that would be pissin'a and moanin' of they'd lost the SB. Entitlement and being a sports fan is a bad mix.

They got rid of him because a win is not just a win, they way you win has to be sustainable. Elway knew that winning 10-9 and throwing for 123 yards a game wasn't going to win them a superbowl so he went out and got a real qb and the rest is history. They got rid of Tebow after he won a playoff game so that tells you how little faith they had in him. Right choice, if a team wins 28-24 and has a pick 6 a punt return for td and a fumble return for a td, a win is a win but you can't expect that every week.

What qualifies as the rest is history here? They dumped tebow and brought in Manning who had a historical offense just to fail in the end then finally win one with a great D while playing as a ghost of his former self. He was damn near as bad as tebow at times his final season.

In 2011 Tebow averaged 123.5 yards a game passing, that would be bad in the 70s, a year later with the only significant change being the qb Manning averaged 291 and the year after set NFL records for passing. Tebow is a good guy and we need more people like him in this world but we don't need more qbs like him.

Poker is actually my game. I could play that all day. Been playing since I was a kid when grandpop taught me behind moms back! (Miss that ole son of agun).

My favorite players are Phil Ivey and Danny Negreanu.

You may just run into a buzzsaw trying to get one over on me!

Tell me one thing positive about Prescott. Because your integrity an opinion of him is 0 right now
he has all the intangibles. for what ever reason, his sense of urgency, his level of play goes up late in 4th quarters. he raises his game and the moment doesn't seem to phase him. I wish he would show the same urgency in the first 3 quarters more often. he is a natural leader and gets the respect of his team mates. those traits are not teachable, either you are or you are not. take for example Cousins. he has the nice footwork, pretty accurate, decent in the pocket, but when the moment comes, he seems to fold and make most mistakes....

Dak is a naturally safe QB and doesn't make mistakes with the ball, thus the low Ints. so he is not going to cost you a lot of games with Ints, but by the same token he plays it safe and you end up in a lot of close games that you have to pull out in the end, which kind of leads to my first point above and the number of comebacks we have had. he seems to have the determination and the right attitude that go along with a leader and he gets attention of his teammates. the question for him is can he correct some of his mental and physical mistakes. given his poor footwork, he doesn't trust his arm and his accuracy, thus probably the play it safe nature of his game, but I think with Kitna, he is going to improve his footwork and he will trust his arm more and his accuracy should improve, thus his game should improve. lets wait and see if/when the games are played and its chaotic, will he revert to his old habits. he can scramble, willing runner and durable, but his pocket awareness needs work. he doesn't have that natural sense in the pocket to move up and around and avoid the rush. its a feel he doesn't have. that's going to be hard to improve upon.

So you qualify the rest is history as the few years he played exceptional and not the downfall that was more sudden than expected?

I believe I said this before. On-the-job training is over. He needs to progress. He can't stay the same or go backwards if he does he's just the best backup in the league. This is the season for me from what I've already seen in him my expectations are for him to improve. Confidence in the reading defenses we'll take care of most of his issues
