We have enough talent to go 5-1 in the East despite Garrett. We may or may not win the division but we will make the playoffs. Let the man have his incorrect opinion as we enter the post-season again.

Maybe why we will go 5-1 in the East will be because of Garrett. He has been successful against them. So do not take that away. Give him credit.
I know it is hard to do for many, but give him credit.
And if we go 5-1 against the East there is no reason not to win the division again, as we should win 5 or 6 games against the rest of the schedule.

And no I am not a big Garrett fan, so don't go all "you are a homer" on me.

So basically, anyone the Cowboys sign to the roster is an improvement?

Couldn't every other team in the NFL say that? Hey, look, we drafted these guys, we're better now?
Do the guys that left have any impact on improvement, or are we doing this in a vacuum where the team remains just as good, regardless of who leaves, and then is only improved upon with each addition?

I'm not saying the team isn't better...but your list isn't that convincing.

All 32 teams and their fans at this time of the year think they improved. All think this is their year, anything can happen.

Well many fans do, except on here, where it seem more fans do not like anything the team does, nor like very many players.
Hey, I didn't use the hate word...

He's not necessarily wrong about the Garrett part. Garrett is an average head coach. And Garrett's track record is one of one good season followed by one not so good season.

Jason Garrett is arguably the biggest issue facing this team heading into 2019.

Lol...looky kooky who it is...lol
The guy has won 3 out of the last 5 division, been 1st or runner up in the division in 5 out 8 seasons. Yeah he's the issue...lol

I could be wrong, he's finished no less than 2nd in the division in 5 of his 8 seasons.

Those that say we didn't do much to improve are not keeping up with this team. We did tons to improve and still are doing loads of stuff to be the best we can be. Wake up, folks. The Cowboys will win the division again and are contenders for the NFC title.

"The Cowboys are good but not great and didn't do much to improve this offseason."

lol. I'm guessing the writer didn't do much to improve his non bias observation skills.

The big addition was Amari Cooper and after he joined the team, Dallas went 7-1 in the second half. But according to the guy writing this article, that 7-1 team had a bunch of holes to fill in the offseason.

Whether the Cowboys miss the playoffs or not is yet to be determined. Those of us who have been privileged to live long enough to see that nothing is guaranteed in the NFL will surely live to see that things change, each and every year. Dallas has improved this year, in terms of its talent and it's very probable that other teams will join them in their improvement. As always, a championship of sorts will be there for the taking.

To me, this team will finish somewhere at or between 8-8 and 10-6. Taking such things into account, as to injuries, talent and coaching, the possibilities are varied and will be there to be observed. Let's just make the most of our privileged opportunity to follow the drama and hope for the best. Win or lose at the end, I'm confident that we'll be in the mix, whether that means the Cowboys are destined to be in the playoffs or not. ;)

Yeah he's part of the problem. Our inability to really succeed over his 8 years is a combination of poor decisions by the front office (cough, cough Jerry), some flawed rosters and average head coaching.

And LOL at "runner up" in the division aspect of your post. You realize that in those two years as "runner up", they didn't make the playoffs, right? So what value is there in being a "runner up" in a division? Why should we applaud Garrett (or any coach for that matter) for finishing 2nd in a division and not making the playoffs?

8 years. 3 playoffs appearances. 2 playoff wins. Zero conference champ game appearances.

Yeah............ he's freaking killing it.

If they miss the playoffs this year, it will be interesting to see what excuses you come up with in the offseason.

We'll be the first team to win the division and make the playoffs all without a competent head coach, offensive coordinator, and qb.

Why in spite of Garrett. The locker room supports him the camaraderie don't you think that's important

This writer sounds just like some people from this board and or a Eagles fan.
I am from the old Cowboys fan forum. We never had Eagles infiltrate, everybody stuck together and we laughed them off the boards. I think there's more Eagle fans and Cowboy fans on this page don't they have their own
