I haven't seen this posted anywhere but is this not a big deal? Do we just accept that most of these guys playing at the highest level are cheating?

You can take a quick look at a lot of these guys and tell they are on stuff.

Do we just not care that our NFL athletes are on the sauce? It made baseball a worse sport and probably wouldn't help the NFL at all either.

Who cares?

Well that's my question.. Is it not a big deal they are on gear?

How many of these guys wouldn't have made it to the NFL or performed at the highest of level without performance enhancers?

If that is Gronkowski's natural weight off the sauce he would've never had an NFL career.

Payton Manning was still one of the best QB's in the league, gets accused of taking performance enhancers of some sort, then almost immediately can't throw the ball 30 yards downfield anymore.

Barry Bonds was still amazing before he became a cartoon character. They all dope. I don't care.

Baseball was better in the 90's. It's unwatchable now and the difference is they aren't taking their creatine anymore.

How long ago was this picture?

Also he is 6'7 standing next to a guy that is much smaller and also a steroid user.

Its the same event (note the background,) without the blurriness of editing

Camera's are too nice nowadays to produce such a poor quality pic, even if the person is moving

They must be using something. A record 6,105 HR were hit in MLB in 2017. That's 1100 more than 1998 when Sosa and McGwire were juiced to the gills.

NFL players have been 100% juicing since the 1970s. You only get caught if you're super dumb, or if it's an edge case like Ben Watson getting legally prescribed drugs on the banned list after retiring and then deciding to un-retire.

Doesn’t mean they are on something illegal and it’s childish to suggest anything else unless you know the facts which you never seem to know.

I wouldn't guarantee they're on hgh, it does take some dedication for the guys with the right frames to sustain that weight.

Gronk might have been juicing, or maybe not. He never got busted for anything, and he never really had the crazy juicer look. Yeah he's a big muscular dude, but he never got the HGH gut that guys who really abuse it get, and he doesn't have the extreme enlarged traps and gynecomastia of abusing anabolic steroids that guys like Brian Cushing and LaRon Landry got. He's a guy with a really big frame who worked out constantly.

I wouldn't guarantee they're on hgh, it does take some dedication for the guys with the right frames to sustain that weight.

A lot of football players have to force themselves to eat way more than they naturally want to in order to be so big. Joe Thomas talked about the crazy amount of extra food he had to eat just to stay over 300, and dropped a ton of weight fast the second he quit force-feeding himself.

I'm not betting the house that Gronk is 100% natural, but it's pretty plausible. Being built at 6'6" and 260 isn't some crazy number to hit naturally for a young dude on a tightly controlled exercise and nutrition regimen.

That means nothing. My friends daughter played softgball at Cal and married a guy that was the starting center. He played at 6'2" and weighed 310 if I remember correctly. After his SR season he was invited to camp undrafted by several teams. He was like, nah, im going to med school. EWithin 6 months he was probably down to 240 lbs and he was not using anything to plump himself up. As stated, these guys have to force themselves to eat some serious calories to be at that weight, and when they stop playing, they come back to a normal diet and drop the weight. I suspect the same with Gronk.

Uh, is there any source for HGH use?

I mean, his career in the NFL is over, he probably has stopped training so much.
Him not being shredded now doesn't mean much.

I'm sure plenty are "cheating the system" with PED use that is hard to trace.

Dat Nguyen dropped a lot of weight after his playing days. I'm sure some just become mentally and physically exhausted of eating right and training so religiously.
