Saints don't have a clueless coach who can't seem to handle guys like this. They didn't exactly leave on great terms and the media circus would be ridiculous. You say 4th receiver like all that is worth 35 catches. He'll go somewhere else and at least be the 2nd or 3rd receiver.

Clueless coach that beat the Saints. Dak & Witten are great leaders that will keep the ship straight.

More bragging about regular season wins while they were sitting home watching the Saints in the championship game? Story of Garretts career. But atleast they won in November.

We were in the playoff as well, speaking of that the defense choked that game away. The offense put in work and could have used Dez in Redzone and short yard situation instead of trying to run Zeke up the middle to Aaron Donald.

Keep taking these Ls.

Defense definitely choked but every year there's a new excuse. I have little faith they will get it right with very limited touches on the second go round. Like I said before, he'll end up a number 2 or 3 somewhere before he settles for scraps in this offense.

He never got 2 or 3 spot last year what team is going to offer him that role this year?

He had what 2 practices before the injury? Otherwise he's most likely the #2 guy in NO. Plenty of teams need receiving help.

I disagree and the team compensation suggests he was a #4.

“New Orleans Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant signed his contract on Thursday, details of which were reported first by Adam Schefter of ESPN. Per Schefter’s report, the former Dallas Cowboy’s one-year deal is worth as much as $1.75 million

; that means weekly game checks of about $75,000. For perspective, it’s only $21,777 more than the veteran minimum for a player with Bryant’s experience.“

His contract was a prove it deal late in November. The situation in New Orleans had room to move up to the 2nd spot with Ted Ginn on IR and TreQuan Smith a rookie. The Cowboys on the other hand have their top 2 spots set and the 3rd with Cobb. That's not the case for most teams. He'll likely get another prove it deal coming off an injury with the opportunity to be a starter.

Yeah for the vet minimum, he ain’t wasting time on poo like that. Dez will rather take the same money with Dallas and get a ring.

He was pretty dam slow before the achilles. Pretty sure he's not going to come back any faster.

I remember when Greg Ellis tore his and I thought his career was over and he came back better then ever.

I'm sure he used some performance enhancers to aid his recovery but he was a different player after he tore his Achilles. A better player.

Pretty sure the speed required to play WR and DE are not the same. Dez is done. You need to come to grips with it and change your emoji.

Dez probably is done. I don’t deny this.

He hasn’t given me that vibe like he’s working hard to get back on the field.

I’m just saying what Greg Ellis did at that time was not natural for someone coming off an Achilles. That was a career ended for a lot of players at that point and he came back stronger then ever somehow.

Poo like more playing time? I think this is wishful thinking on your part.

I disagree. I don't think Ellis was any better after the injury than before. He was always a solid player who was looked down upon because he was not Randy Moss. He was consistent. His sack totals went up the season after his injury, but everything else went down. The number of tackles and the number of solo tackles went down quite a bit. He was the same guy in 2007 as he was in 2006.

Yeah it was an eye test thing for me and I also believe he might've missed some games because of a contract dispute and we had switched to a 3-4 defense and he was playing OLB.

I agree he was always solid but he came back strong after an Achilles snap and that was just not a normal thing back then.

I am curious. How exactly is Dez supposed to provide you with that vibe? Through what means?

I agree. I remember thinking he was done when he got injured near the end of that 2006 season. It was his first year at the OLB spot. He came back and looked more comfortable out there in 2007. I think it really helped that Ware was in his third season and had really come into his own. Spears and Canty also started to play much better in 2007. Also, there is a slight difference between the Parcell's 3-4 scheme and the Phillip's 3-4. It was a surprise that Ellis came back at all and play close to the level he did prior to injury.

If you've seen his IG videos training you'd see that he's moving pretty fast for someone who tore their Achilles. He was never a burner so I don't know where all this slower talk came from.

He had enough speed to return punts back in the day, then he got injured and he lost a step. Then he got injured two more times very severely. Yes he has lost some speed but more importantly for Dez, he has lost the initial burst that he once had...
