Just goes to show the people you know and the company you keep has a way of catching up to you. Be prudent with the associations you make and never make assumptions when it comes to your safety. Always be mindful of your surroundings and situation... or just stay home.
Those guidelines are pretty easy to adhere to, when it's fellers such as our particular cut of class&style:thumbup:,(,,er,,,not to mention that whole thing pertaining to an general age bracket, ya know, JOE?)
That certain category of "youth" automatically bestows an intrinsic level of "pecker-head" with it,some burdened more heavily with it than otherso_O

That's awful. Wright may not have been an elite QB like Staubach or Aikman, but he was a trooper. He gave his all for the team. The team needed someone who could make plays, and he did. Whoever committed this crime is a low-down piece of garbage that I hope sees justice. I'm glad that Wright is recovering.

A member created a thread.

The thread provided news of a former Cowboy.

The former Cowboy was shot.

The shooter used deadly force because he could not handle an argument with the former Cowboy.

So. The thread's focus shifts to whom?

The baby mama.

No one is talking about the baby mama. What we are talking about is the foolishness of men who reward female infidelity.

There is more than one way to become a cuckold. To voluntarily take on responsibility to raise another man's child when that man remains alive is to volunteer to be a cuckold. A man should be responsible to support and raise his own children, and a woman should be responsible to remain faithful to the father of her children.

The exception is when a man dies, and leaves a widow and orphans. It is a blessed thing to care for widows and orphans. But it is a perversion to treat a woman who is not a widow as if she is one. It is a perversion to treat children who are not orphans as if they are.

Society has a sacred responsibility to uphold the sanctity of parentage, and demand that parents live up to their responsibilities and take ownership of the choices they make. Men and women choose to enter parenthood by the very act of engaging in carnal knowledge.

As men, we HONOR that choice by insisting that men and women abide by and live up to the responsibility of the choices they make. To do otherwise dishonors the parents of the children, and men who join themselves to single mothers dishonor themselves, the children of that single mother, and the father of the children of that mother.

This is about honoring each other as men. It is not about the baby mama. It is no wonder that our society has devolved into chaos when we so dishonor ourselves. Why should we expect respect from others when we do not respect ourselves.

Baby Daddy drama. Good Rule of Thumb. Don't get involved in raising some other man's children....no matter how sweet you think IT is.

The base nature of the altercation was two men arguing and one of the two men using deadly force to 'end' it. Violence is what it has always been. However, nothing short of a life-and-death situation should have prompted ANYONE to pull a gun. The cause could have been anything, as you well know it this particular instance. However, inappropriately rationalizing the level of violence is short-sighted.

Anthony Wright could have avoided the situation by making better choices. Period.

The child involved is now in an untenable situation. His natural father is likely to be incarcerated because of his altercation with Wright. No matter if Wright stays with the woman or leaves her, that child is forever scarred, and will justifiably resent Wright for the rest of his life. That is the reality of what happened. And no amount of rationalizing is going to take away the child's emotional trauma.

Let's see...

A father has a 6 year old child.

The father is dropping his 6 year old child off at the 6-year old child mother's house.

Anthony Wright is at the home when the father and 6 year old child arrives.

The two men argue. Let people's imagination run wild with what was said between the two men. After all, bullets words are deadly.

Anthony Wright does not pull a gun.

The father of a 6 year old child pulls a gun.

The father of a 6 year old child shoots Anthony Wright five (5) times.

Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.

All of a sudden (predictably), the father (he has a 6 year old child by the way) now fears what will happen to himself after attempting to kill someone who was only yelling back at him.

Anthony Wright, who was responsible for yelling at the father of a 6 year old child, is taken to a hospital to save his life, again, simply for saying things the father of a 6 year old child did not like.

It is possible the 6 year old child witnessed the entire thing, which is probably Anthony Wright's fault too.

Kinda makes me wonder who the 6 year old child blames for the attempted murder of Anthony Wright? My money's on the 6 year old daughter pointing her finger at her father.

Okay. I am done. Let the nonsense continue. Logging off to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 full-time now.

The fact that Anthony Wright was chilling and got shot in my home town is literally the most random thing I've ever heard.

Hope he pulls through.

My wife went to North West Cabarrus. I know Concord well.

Mr. C's is one of my favorites.
