The fact that BP went to the playoffs with him was a miracle.

Quincy > Dak

Quincy made better decisions on the field...was a better athlete. More accurate....Only advantage Dak has...he probably could take more punishment as a runner.

Will be interesting to see if Dak can take the next step that Quincy couldn't.

Wow, a whopping 14 minutes long. I though it would be about 50 seconds. :muttley:
Someone just uploaded this to youtube.

Quincy had talent.

The problem was that he didn't have the mental-makeup to give him a good chance to long term success.

Trying to build around a weak-minded knucklehead is a bad idea.

The Cowboys gave Dez a mega-contract in 2015 because he had great talent; however, they overlooked the fact that the probability of him failing to live up to the contract was near 100% because he had a horrible mental-makeup and villagers in remote Amazon regions probably knew, like most of the world knew that Dez with a mega-contract was a guaranteed disaster.

It's the same type of team mistake as giving Dez a mega-contract as it was to draft and try to build around Quincy.

Odd side note: Quincy scored a 30 on the Wonderlic.

At first I was ok with them taking Quincy but maybe a bit too high. As I remembered him playing very well and beating Ohio State in a bowl game.
So I had no real issue with it. But then later wish they would not have. But he really don’t have a team around him either.

I still think if for him not having a looming suspension ahead of him for a failed drug test, He would have still made the team and Tony Romo was on the bubble as a 4th QB. As he was a FA and an unknown from a small school.

Sure didn't show it. Quincy was a terrible QB. Only reason he made the playoffs was the #1 D. He makes Dak look like Joe Montana.
Was that the season that was ended by the Panthers?

This was a cool video... some really nice plays by Quincy. It’s a good reminder that, you can take whoever you think is the worst QB in the league, and that guy has dozens upon dozens of great plays that can be put in a highlight reel.
Exactly. Every quarterback had a highlight reel. It's more about the plays you don't make than those you do in the end.

Can't stand Quincy Carter. But I noticed how good the playcalling was then in the red zone. Lots of bootlegs and play action. Something that the Red Headed Genius has failed to accomplish during this tenure as coach.

Carter had very good QB talent. Jerry Jones drafted him to high with a drug problem and then exasperated his paranoid drug illusions with Henson, and Hutchinson. But, Parcells really wanted to save Carter's career and no matter what people say about Carter was the only QB to lead the Cowboys to the playoffs since Troy Aikman and had the same playoff record as Tony Romo until Romo actually won a wild card game in 2009.

But....

He didn't lead them. The #1 D in the NFL led them. Quincy was a sorta poor bus driver.

Quincy made much worse decisions on the field. He was less accurate. And his and Dak's athleticism were comparable.

Where in the world do you get the decisions and accuracy stuff from? I mean, it's so blatantly wrong, I wonder if you're not just being facetious.
