It happened last time his contract was up also.

We have fans which are basically using the fact Jerry didn’t sign him as some sign of dissatisfaction from our organization using to spin their narrative.

I rarely see this rhetoric on Garrett outside this forum which isn’t always a good measurement on the pulse of Cowboys Nation.

Look harder. The vast majority of people covering the NFL have accepted the reality of the lame duck situation. The tiny minority who can’t reside here.

Of course not. It’s a narrative spin from the actions of not resigning Garrett yet. These fans are simply using some of the events as messages Garrett isn’t coming back. It’s all fabricated ..

Jerry wants Garrett to succeed for multiple reasons, including IMO that it makes him look like a football genius for recognizing a young talent and grooming him. It may be reaching the point where the Joneses are forced to face reality If Garrett doesn't have more playoff success. However, it's not going to take much to keep that fire lit. Injuries, a better regular-season record with similar playoff results, scapegoating another coordinator are just a few of the reasons I can think of why he would keep his job despite worse or just slightly better results.

Who’s left from “extended family” as a possible candidate?
I’ve no idea, it was more the “held accountable” that I query.
But even if “held accountable” as you say why would you imagine they would be good enough to overcome the considerable obstacle that is our GM and his son?

Not the vast majority of Cowboy fans who don’t reside here. Lol

Curious how much of the local news and media you follow. And local fans you come in contact with??

This is a narrative that’s been manufactured from the events that have unfolded . Fake News!!

Of course he wants him to succeed. Jerry would have looked foolish to extend him now only to have a tough season.

It’s a sound move for Jerry and the Cowboys but labeling it as a make or break lame duck season is totally manufactured. And simply not a fact.

I'd have to ask for clarification on what "obstacle" you're referring to? As I've said, from a talent standpoint, they have put the Cowboys among the very best in the league.

You are "fake news".

Your game is up and you've been exposed for exactly who and what you are. And that's why the vast majority of your posts are ignored. Because you're noise.

Ah! let me see.

Being only one of 9 teams in the entire NFL not to make it to a championship in the last 23 years (and if your prognosis is correct about this current coaching staff) then it will be 24 years before you know it.

In that timespan everything about the team has been changed from the water boy to the stadium we play out home games in, except that is for the GM and his son.

And somehow you think he's suddenly is going to "right the ship" just because he hasn't gone 5-11 in the last three years!!!

We've had enough talent in some of the last 23 years just no GM to turn it into a real contender, and that GM is here for the foreseeable future.

Clear enough for you?

Noise that disputes your noise. Or you would ignore otherwise. I’m not intimidated by Internet bully’s.

You’ve completely fabricated facts into spinning your narrative which is the very definition of Fake News.

How exactly does the GM "turn talent into a contender"? He can't build the player talent and coach it as well.

Nobody's "bullying" you "victim". You're being called out for exactly who and what you are. Too bad if that truth hurts.

What exactly has been "fabricated"? Nobody "spins" garbage like you do. You've perfected the art. You never even bother to offer support for your lame claims. And that's why you don't even matter.

I sure have listened to my better judgement and continued to ignore your tripe in the first place as I have been. A mistake I will now rectify.

The Cowboys are on the precipice of doing what no team has done in the cap era, having 4 players in the top 5 in salary and 3 of them offensive skill positions, the highest paid triplets in NFL history are on the horizon and what makes that even worse is that the owner will be proud of that. Loves those stars in his eyes.

What happened in 2015 when the QB went down? 4-12 What happened when the RB was out? 9-7 What happened when they didn't have a WR1? 3-5.

This coaching staff and team have proven they struggle to overcome just one key player and this team is getting ready to be the poster child for the Too Much to Too Few team.

If you've played Fantasy Football, you know the value of the injury report. And any FF player will tell you the two positions that are on there the most are the RB's and WR's. And using Elliott's lack of injury history as the case to extend is foolhardy.

I do not see any way around not extending the QB because of the lack of options and the same can be said for the WR position, we've seen the team without one. But sign all 3 and this team, with this coaching staff not good at overcoming injuries, and the Cowboys are playing Injury Roulette. They're already spinning that wheel with the DE.
What will it say if we do sign all 3 on offense and still have an average to less than average offense with a top 5 rushing attack?

Would it possible lead to pointing more arrows at our QB?

All of this crap about Garrett needing the NFCCG game to retain his job. That Payton is sitting in the wings. That’s all Noise.

You apparently believe if you base your narrative off of how you interpret events that they are factual. Lol
