Was looking at a poll today and was sure he would be in the top 12 group. Nope.

The problem is his statistics haven't been consistent enough. Cowboy fans naturally are going to look at him more favorably than others because of that. We had a better chance to see he could be a difference maker.

Those are the only ones odd the top of my head that are clearly better. I may have missed one.

There are quite a few more that you can argue are as good or better than Cooper. But not 12 who are clearly and definitively better. The pair in Minnesota for instance. Juju smith schuster, Allen Robinson, Edelman, etc. but they are all debatable.

He was not top 12 last year in any of the 3 major WR categories last year (receptions, yards, TDs) so while that’s not a perfect method, you can start there.

I dont agree on everyone but i see cooper more in the top 15 then in the top 10.

He is in that top 12-ish area. It is not really an outrage if he is ranked just outside of that.

I would rank these players ahead of him. But mainly because he needs to have another great season to elevate himself.

I'd say Adams in Green Bay is better. But it's probably because he has Rodgers is growing him the ball.

For what people know of Cooper now, I would say that's a fair statement. If he can have a full year like the second half of last year after he came to Dallas, he could move up the list.

I view positions as tiers. I would rank the following WRs as:

Tier 1:
Deandre Hopkins
Julio Jones
OBJ
AB
Tyreek Hill

Tier 2:
AJ Green
Davanta Adams
Mike Evans
Michael Thomas
Keenan Allen
Stefon Diggs
Adam Thielen
T.Y. Hilton
Amari Cooper
Juju
Brandin Cooks

You can make a case for some of the ones in Tier 2 to be in Tier 1, or to be dropped to Tier 3. Or some outside of these to be in Tier 2. I could see where someone can list 12 receivers ahead of Amari Cooper, but I believe he belongs with them as well.

If he hits 2000 yards then he is clearly top tier. And top pay. May want to get his contract done during the season. He may not make 2000 but will get well over 1000 if he plays like the last half of last year.

He has had a chronicled drop issue in the past. That could have been Carr or whatever, but he has a history.
