Is it me or the 2019 schedule looks brutal?

..with the exception of Jets & Dolphins, everyone else looks like a formidable challenge. According to some stats analysis, Dallas falls in the middle of things in terms of difficulty. Im hoping we can scrape 10 this year.

Pats along with Skins have the easiest. How does that even happen? SB winners should default to a difficult schedule. Prove yerself again.

that's parity in the NFL. I am sure other teams in other divisions are saying the same thing...omg, we play NFC east, cowboys and eagles and don't over look the sneaky Commanders.....

Something some of you know nothing about lol blaming people for schedules when it’s predetermined every year. Hell I can give you the schedule for Dallas the next 20 years pending two games based off standing

Someone gets it.

Oh, yeah? So give us the schedule for the next 20 years...since you say you can?

Next season the Cowboys will play Eagles (2), Giants (2), Commanders (2), Steelers, Browns, Ravens, Bengals, Niners, Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals - that's 14 games.

The other 2 will be determined by where the Cowboys finish in their division.

All the information you need to figure out the next 19 years is in this thread. Knock yourself out.

The schedule really doesn't matter. There is no tough schedule for a good team. The Patriots may have an easy schedule, but they get to the Super Bowl every other year. An easy schedule is not getting you a championship. It might get you to the playoffs, but that's it.

Now, do the Cowboys have a brutal schedule? Dolphins, Jets, Bills, Commanders and Giants twice, and Lions. Beat the teams you should beat and split with the good one's. That's 12-4. That's what a good team does. I don't see this schedule as being particularly tough.

2 games vs washington, 2 games vs giants are formidable? Lions, Bills, Niners? 7 games dallas should win easily.

some of you have been drinking the pessimist koolaid
Agreed. Add the Dolphins and Jets and you have near wildcard record just on AFC south and your easier division games.

NFC portion of the schedule is hardier than 2018 but the cowboys only went 1-3 against AFC last year. They should be able to flip it to 3-1 vs AFC this year so that kinda negates the NFC portion being more difficult.

The schedules are set by a formula. There couldn’t be a conspiracy on who Dallas plays.

Exactly, just fell out to be a wierd year in the divisions we are playing against.
I dont think it will be has tough as it looks now.
It will come down to beating the Eagles. If we cant do that then who cares about the rest.
Im thinking 10 to 11 wins honestly.

I'm not seeing it as difficult at all. Giants, at Commanders, Dolphins, at Saints, Packers, at Jets, Eagles, at Giants. That looks like 7-1 to me.

....I like yer optimism, but here's my subjective concern: Giants, Skins, Eagles..always play us tough. Basically toss ups. Saints, Rams, Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings will flex muscle this year. Patriots seem to have Dallas number lately. Jets and Dolphins are only ones', I cant make out.

Cowboys have the #1 toughest schedule in the whole NFL.

Eagles have one of the easiest. So do the Patriots.

Thank you, Goodell!!!!

Oh wait, there are those who don't believe in conspiracies or that Goodell's office (those around him) don't have it in for Jerry and the Cowboys

Nevermind. There is no conspiracy.
It is the same as dallas LOL except for 2 games, they play atlanta and seattle, neither one of those are easy
There are no easy schedules.
Pats have same schedule as the other teams in their div, the only 2 games different they play 2 div winners from last year,
houston and KC.
people see the afc east teams as weak, so lets see if dallas wins all 3 games aside from NE. And how easy those wins are.
NE also plays our div, if that is easy then dallas has it twice as easy.

Giants haven’t beaten the Cowboys since December 11th, 2016 - Dak’s rookie year. And they just lost OBJ. That’s not a tossup.

The Cowboys are 5-1 against the Commanders since 2016, and have owned them in their own house. The exception was last year’s game, the one with the strange penalty on the holder that nullified the game tying field goal.

The games against the Commanders and Giants should be penciled in as wins.

7-1 start.

One thing that helps the Patriots have an easier schedule is that they are by far in the weakest division of football and it has been that way for years.

Dallas should be favored in 10 of their first 12 games. It’s not that bad.

The Lions and Packers were awful last year, the Vikings aren’t scary with Cousins and the Commanders/Giants will win a combined 10 to 12 games.

You do realize the schedules are set by no one, right. I hate the Commissioner, but he has nothing to do with scheduling. Every team we play is based on a rotating schedule with the exception of two games, and those are based on where we finished in the division the previous year.

And who created the formula? Do you honestly believe a formula is thoroughly followed?

LOL. Yes, yes it is. Do you actually follow the NFL? All you have to do is look at the schedule each year to verify that it’s followed. It’s extremely easy to know who we’re going to play EVERY year as soon as the previous season is over.

We could end up having the easiest schedule by the end of the season.

You're saying the Cowboys, Commanders, Giants and Eagles play the same 4 non-divisional NFC teams and same 4 AFC teams? Is that how the formula works, or are there different (easier or harder NFC and AFC division opponents for both the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Commanders)?

So, you’re throwing out conspiracy theories about scheduling and you weren’t even aware of this? LOL. Stick to soccer.
