Thad is 31 years old and the Bulls are coming off 22 wins.
So he was kinda an odd fit as their chief target for me.
Felt like they could have drawn a better lot than that.
Chi-town is an appealing city to many.

Sato is a really good shooter so I did like that move.

I start all teams at C. So they got a tiny bump up from me but no one really moved the needle and they had a lot of needle to move.
The Bulls aren't going to be able to get a top free agent. Thad is a vet that can help the young guys grow. The Bulls just aren't a destination for anyone that's going to move the needle. We're going to have to have Lauri,Zach, and Wendell grow.

I agree with a D, the contracts that they gave to Horford and Harris was dumb

They are in win now mode. Horford was gonna get paid. If they win a championship in the first two years of the deal it'll make.the last two well worth it.

Every expert I've heard says Philly is the team to beat in the East now. EBs moves are very well regarded around the lesgue. We lost Butler..who is a cancer in the locker room and has a loser.mentality..gained JRich who is basically a younger version of Butler. Can score, shoot and play great D.

Tobias was basically an all star last year. Simmons is an all star. Embid is. Horford will be great because when Embid has to miss time he slides over to the 5 spot and we are g2g.

Smith Ennis and Thybulle are 3 and D guys off the bench.

Reddick could shoot but killed us on D. I'm much happier with JRich taking his place.

You guys would be my bets as the favorite in the East, I think you guys need stronger back court depth too. Especially at PG. However you guys have the peices to make a move there, and you dont need an all star caliber player

Major upgrade over Rubio who just doesnt fit the modern NBA. Long term they have to figure who they want at point with a Mitchell/Gobert core
fair for sure but that dudes body has been through some abuse and it is 65m over next two seasons.
in fa i grade mostly on contract value and fit. is a guy an asset now that he has the deal he is on or not so much and you overpaid.
a lot of people overpay as that's the nature of fa.
conley is a good fit but that contract value seems pretty poor.

That totally fair just odd to sign a guy over 30 in that scenario.
Stealing someone like Oubre would've appealed more to me.
Then again maybe Thad becomes a value asset at trade deadline.

I just hate improving 2-3 games on poor teams with no upside to it.

You aren't wrong.
You are both wrong:)

Redick is getting old and I dislike signing old dudes but he averaged the highest point total of his career last year largely because Philly so badly needed his shooting in the offense.
The guy who partially reduced the monstrous need for Redick was Jimmy and now he is gone too.

Redick is special in the area Philly struggles in most. He's a heck of a lot better value at 13 (18pts a game and unlimited range is worth 13m to anyone) than Horford is at 24.

Doubling down on wings that are mediocre shooters but can all take you off the dribble makes no sense to me.

Philly had a ton of talent and still does but it still fits pretty poorly IMO.

76ers are 2nd behind the Bucks in Vegas odds and most people's EC rankings.
Bucks have the best player of the group and the outside shooters around Giannis.

Until Ben learns to shoot they need specialists who can on that roster big time.

No offense but JJ is overrated. I don't need a guy who scores 20 a game and let's up 30 a game on D.

Tobi, Embid, Horford, JRich, Scott, Thybulle, Smith, Ennis..

All these guys can shoot the 3, space the floor and play D.

Bye JJ..you won't be missed.

Not to mention 44% FGs and 39.7% from 3 isn't really shooting the lights out. He had more games where he was terrible from 3 last year than I've ever seen him have.

He's not even a starter on a contending team anymore tbh. Good riddance. I'll take J Rich over JJ 7 days a week

Simmons signed max contract, he has his flaws but I will say he is worth it, has Joel sign a max contract yet?

Redick averaged 3.2 3PT FG made last year. That tied for 5th most in the league.
His % was in the top 25 in the league. He scored A LOT.

Tobi (32.6%) and Embiid(30%) were BAD from 3 last year. Neither was top half the SIXERS roster in 3PT FG%.
Those guys do NOT stretch the floor.
They clog the lane because guys are going to play Tobi to drive and Embiid for a 15 footer.
Add to them a PG who can't shoot a lick outside and it is just not a great offense for a league built on spacing and ball movement.

They were a good offensive team last year and a solid defensive one.
I rather expect that to flip and they step it up defensively but fall back on offense.
They have a lot of talent but scoring gets really hard when no one respects you outside the arc.

Josh Richardson is a step back from Redick as an offensive player. He scored less last year as the primary option on an under 500 team.
He shot only 41%FG period and just isn't really a shooter but he is a good nice young piece that can play both ways and develop.
Taking him over Jimmy is weird in that why the heck trade for Jimmy in the first place but not the end of the world.

Failing to realize you lost 5+ 3 PT makes per game in Jimmy/JJ could really come back to bite that team that looked one shooter away from being the Champs last year.

Simmons is an interesting study.

He's almost an aware Russell Westbrook.
He simply doesn't try to shoot outside.

In any era other than this one he would have been a All NBA 1st team guy for his all-around game.
But in this 3PT dominant era it's tough and many people thought he might actually get traded off to a young team.

The guy Philly should target is Bradley Beal. Josh Richardson and/or Ben Simmons would be great bait there.
Then get a tough little PG that can play like the Mavs and Nova's own Brunson as a cheap back up PG.

JJ shot under 40% from 3 last year.

You are failing to understand that his offense didn't make up for his poor defense. I'll gladly take a guy who scores 2 pts less a game and plays much better D.

Also Jimmy only was a 34% 3pt shooter. Very average. Jonah Bolden, Mike Scott and Zhaire Smith all shot higher.percentages.

Also Tobias is clearly not a 32% shooter from 3. He got in a funk last year.but the first half of the season he was over 40% and the past few seasons he's been over 40%.

You simply don't know what you're talking about here. This team will be.a ok without JJ and JB, don't worry.

No. Shaun Livingston however would be a great fit.
