Tony has made some mistakes that is for sure. But so did Brett Favre. But Tony deserves all the credit in the world for success despite awful Olines and a defense that has been at historically awful levels in creating turnovers. On top of that he had to suffer in a Jason Garrett offensive system for many years. So I will continue to say that he was magical when you consider what he did with what he had.

Brett Favre was marginally better enough than Romo to win one Superbowl and several playoff games, but that gunslinger mentality and style of play just doesn't translate well into December and January. The narrative that he didn't have solid enough Olines and defenses around him has already been dispelled. He played with multiple pro-bowlers on top of it. Tony created alot of his own turnovers and that's a FACT. Playing with magic is like playing with fire, you're bound to get dark magic come post season, and we got it with #9.

Romo and Zeke play safety? They were gonna stop Aaron Rodgers? I guess like they did in 2014? Oh wait.......
This is what is called a false equivalence post.
Doesn't have nothing to do with the actual topic at hand.

So with that logic, Bob Griese was better than Marino, McNair was better than Warren Moon?
No logic, just stats, harbor boy.
But before you elevate Romo to GOAT, let's enjoy his playoffs videos, swoon over his Super Bowl trophies and marvel at his majestic Decembers ... Oh, wait, not that.

This thread is proof that vindictiveness or vendetta is one of the most powerful and persistent motives in human behavior.

Right you are govnor!
Romo lovers can't get over the fact that the walk-on from E. Illinois was a career 2-4 in the playoffs and could only sniff a conference game or Super Bowl as an announcer.
2 LOUSY playoff wins in 10 years?
The Queen mum covered her eyes, matey!

You might've been the 2000s-era Cowboys fan who was happy with 1 playoffs win every 5 years, but, on the whole, Romo was a tease, a second-tier QB when it came to the late season or early postseason.

Oh it doesn’t? I guess the bury your head in sand argument applies here.
No. It doesn't
Zeke plays RB and Romo plays QB
Neither one plays defense much less safety.
Even with a buried head I know the difference.
What safety was stopping Aaron Rodgers in his prime?

This is hilarious. I guess there are arguments for White and Meredith over Romo, but they are pretty flimsy. As for Dak after next season, regardless of what he does: :lmao:
This is another terrible take. Dak wasn't a blown call away from winning, and if Romo hadn't gotten robbed of completing a perfect pass, Dallas is first and goal at the 2. I doubt Romo gets his potentially game winning pass batted down at the line of scrimmage like Dak did against GB in 2016.
I really liked Don Meredith. I know almost everyone on this board is too young to have seen him play, but he was really good. He did get the Cowboys to two NFL Championship games, which was considered more of a championship than the Super Bowl back then. The first two NFL/AFL championship games were looked at as exhibition games. The third NFL/AFL Championship(Super Bowl) had Namath beating the NFL champs, the Colts, and that's when both leagues began to be considered more or less equal.

Better team today and they're still crapping the bed. LOL Has nothing to do with coaching I guess? He's been sidelined 4 years already.. And the team hasn't won a dam thing. I guess fans are still happy with those wildcard wins and early exits. It's a routine you can set your watch to around these parts. Don't forget homefield and a loss.. those are great too.

You are missing my point. You claim(not even sure if it was you or someone else at this point) that Romo would have a Super Bowl from 2016-18. Not only do you assume Romo would be healthy......but you also place blame on the quarterback when the quarterback has played well enough in these playoff games to win. Packers loss wasn't on Dak it was on the defense and coaching. If you can't stop Aaron Rodgers in his prime then how in the hell was Romo going to get his Super Bowl rings? The stuff you guys say is odd at times......

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water rocyaice pops up as predicted and sells Dak Dak Dak and more Dak.
Lets forget the 1st half of that game where Dak was nowhere to be found.....
Comparing Romo to Dak is a total Joke as one was a Franchise QB and the other is a impostor who couldn't hit the water from the boat!

He would've killed it with Zeke and this offensive line.
Ill never forgive this organization for not giving him his starting position back.
Very well could've cost them a super bowl.
He was totally healthy and ready to rock.
The ONE time we needed them to be loyal to a player.
