Our defensive coordinator plays LVE @ MLB....and allows him to shut down other teams running games. LVE becomes the leader of the defense....calling out all the defensive signals. Instead I envision them moving him all around....playing him in space...forcing him into coverage....stunting his growth as a player and leader. They will take him off the field for Sean Lee.

they cowboys have the same head coach and defensive coordinator that the rams run of the field last season so unless they learned some lessons from that game the cowboys are going to sniff the superbowl

The OL and DL both need to harden the f up in 2019. I don't care who is under center, an OL that gives up 56 sacks is SOFT. A front 7 that gives up 273 rushing yards to ANY TEAM is SOFT.

Kellen Moore needs to be able to run the offense like it's 2019, not 1992.

The team can't go into a tailspin just because a couple guys get hurt. For years it seems like the Cowboys never have any depth, 1 guy gets hurt on O or D and suddenly everything is crap and they go 6-10 or maybe 8-8. The have to be able to improvise, adapt & overcome adversity or they'll never make a deep playoff run.

IF we are a top 3 turnover differential team. We haven't had over a +5 DIFF since 2014, (matching that amount in 2016), which was cracking the top 10 in DIFF in both years.

We had 20 takeaways last year, and gave the ball away 17 times. Although we have generally taken care of the ball the past 3 years, we need the defense to step up in this regard.

  1. The Cowboys offensive line returns to form
  2. Dak Prescott continues to develop his game
  3. The Dallas defense can establish consistency in performance and eliminate their tells and tendencies
  4. Kellen Moore can help to make the offense less predictable and easy to defend

Surprisingly if we look back, our D has laid eggs during playoffs.....2014, 2016 and 2018

Dallas could win the Super Bowl if . . .

1. Dak increases his accuracy, consistency and learns to release the ball quicker.

2. Kellen Moore becomes a smashing success as an offensive coordinator.

3. The defense elevates into the top 5 and plays like it in the big games.

4. Our wide receivers somehow live up the hype they're seen lately.

5. Our O-line returns the powerhouse it was a few years ago.

6. Garrett grows a pair and doesn't falter in the 2nd half.

I like our chances this year more so than I have in recent years. I don't see one side of the ball having to carry the other, I think both defense and offense look primed to have good season. I think defensive players working under Richard now entering the 2nd season will be more reactive within the defense as they have a better understanding of what Richard wants from them. Offense I think Moore use of motion and the return of key players like Frederick and Witten will make a big impact on offense. I know there are a lot of naysayers here who see nothing good about this team and will belittle any views that support this team and that is fine, hell I'm around fans of other teams who do the same so kind of use to it. I just smile and tell them we will see what happens.

1-Jason Garrett doesn't screw up in the playoffs. That includes making sure the team doesn't come out flat especially if we have a bye.
2-Dak continues to improve
3-The Defense forgets about last year's playoff game and plays like they are capable.
4-Zeke has a great year and the OL returns to form

Thanks for clarifying . . . you've been invaluable in helping me to prove my point.

Many teams would stand to benefit from such circumstances.

Dallas just so happens to be one of them! ;)

Zeke winning another rushing titel would be nice but wont help us in winning a SB imo. Never afaik has a team won a SB who also had the leading rusher of the season. So this accomplishement doesnt help you a lot when you compare it to what it will finally get you to. Overvalued would be a word for it i guess.

QB play to me is the most valuable thing to win a championship. If Dak is able to step up his game, be for instance a reliable 300+ passer, especially when we need it, will imo be the determing factor to win a SB.

Dallas has the best roster in football.

This season rests solely on Dak and Kellen Moore to build a legitimate multidimensional passing offense.
