I enjoyed Season 3. I think it was a little bit too much on the nose with all the 80s references and nostalgia.

I actually like enjoyed watching Steve and Robin’s interaction more then the younger kids. I could have done with less of the kissing scenes with the younger cast.
i enjoyed the chemistry between Steve and Robin much more than what had been between Steve and Nancy. It is both bad and good the Steve's latest relationship topped out as friendship.

I had a different take on the younger teenagers though. They hit that stage young folks their age begin experiencing the first pangs of emotional attraction. Call it puppy love or anything else but the awkward kissing phase usually is a part of it too. I loved seeing that between Eleven and Mike, along with Hopper's fits with the three inches always rule, lol.

There is no hard limit, but make no mistake, there is a limit, especially in a short time frame, where if the staff or (and this is more likely) the users notice you creating several threads, they will get reported and likely merged or removed.

If you have a lot of topics you want to discuss, either space new threads out over several days/weeks, or create more generalized thread titles/topics where you can discuss multiple related topics in fewer threads.

Now, if there is enough demand for a variety of subtopic discussions in the same general topic (ex: tv shows, bands, movies, etc.), then I am more than willing to consider creating new forums for those topics.

The demand would have to be there and there would need to be several (or a lot) of users interested in and willing to post in those kinds of threads.

In the past, when these situations have happened, I tried creating new general topic forums (Gaming Zone, Movie Zone, etc.) only to see them rarely used by more than 2 or 3 users.

In most cases, it's just better (and easier) to create a single thread with a general title/topic such as "Movies you have seen lately" or "What books are you reading" rather than make a new thread about each one.

More importantly, most users are more likely to read and post in general topic threads like that unless the subtopic (specific movie, tv show, music group/band/singer, etc.) is very popular with the users here (ex: Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Avengers movies, etc.).
Reality, I was joking but thanks for the response. My train of thoughts derails a lot.

They tried an area like the Off-Topic Zone here, as a matter of fact as a suggestion form Streetwise, formerly and always known to me as G2, on the old DC.com and it wasn't frequented enough and they were less stringent on the topics there but that's because posters weren't using the Fireside Chat enough. LMAO, they also created a Silver Linings thread as a suggestion for positive posters. Ghost town, even they didn't like that. Got to have a little "mix it up" to retain interest. I am glad you have the Members Zone and OTZ, really adds some depth to the site.

Why wouldn't he be turned up to 11? After living through the experiences of the first two seasons, it makes sense. I'd be on edge. Then also having to deal with a teenager. That alone is a difficult task, but add in her powers. It would make most people cartoonish. Begs the question as to why didn't he move away.

Joyce is on edge, Hopper was on another planet.

The girl who plays El is a great fit for the part. She has a way of being very mysterious, without seeming like she's trying to come off that way, which is pretty amazing for someone that age. I also like that she never really seems to have any confidence until you get her good and pissed.

The young girls are better actors than the boys and the guys playing Mike and Will were better in their first season.

I struggled to get through that first season because of Wynona Ryder's attempts at acting but I gutted past that and really liked the addition of Sean Astin in that 2nd season and she wasn't so neurotic, still annoying however.

I really believe Millie Bobby Brown has a bright acting future ahead of her. It may be only a matter of how serious she is about making a career of it. She is still so freaking young! Amazing.

I will do the same thing with this that I am doing now with the final season of Game of Thrones. On this re-watch, my expectations are in check better and my eye will not be as critical. I am already enjoying it more and it helps to watch the making of before starting a re-watch.

I re-watched Stranger Things 2 prior to 3 being released and found that I liked it quite a bit more the second time around, still not up to 1 but not as bad as I recalled.

yeh, I'm definitely a fan of Stranger Things series. I knew it would be even harder to make Season 3 even better than the first season which involved the introduction of the character Eleven
(portrayed by Millie Bobbie Brown) - and she clearly makes the show, imo.

Her powers and abilities of telekinetic and psychokinesis, her naïve ways to new age civilization. Her real name ends up being revealed as Jane Hopper but still her mischievous kid friends still call her as " El " . But I admit that I was ho-hum meh about season 3 and maybe my build up expectations was way high for this season as there was a person of interest from season 2 that was revealed to have the same powers as Eleven, but we didn't get to see her at all in this recent season and that was a huge let down for me.

in fact Season 3, ever continued with the monster creatures from the Upside Down portal, and I think the producer-Duffer brothers need to be really careful with this Upside Down portal plan.
it's getting like " Been there-done that' and that can get old and redundant fast. I'm into seeing something more of a wow factor new idea, new character new things plan.

But I do admit that something happens in the finale episode that changes the dynamics of the show going forth- something that I definitely did not see coming, or thought the Duffer brothers would dare execute.
And to think Season 3 production and release date was actually stalled and held back for quite some time, about a little over a year.

But I think I read where Stranger Things 3 broke a records for the top ratings getter ever for a streaming service, or something like that.
So no matter how I view it this 3rd season, the mania fever is definitely spreading and catching on and drawing even more and more huge numbers of viewing audiences. It's clearly a phenom hit !

I looooved Game of Thrones !.. despite the letdown final season.(though episode Winterfell battle vs Knight king was utterly awesome !)

As much as I loved Breaking Bad, there hasn't been a series that has wowed me and I have adored more than Games of thrones.
the constant intriguing characters, the twists and turns and plots. the conspiracy factor, the betrayal factors, the revenge factors, the CGI visual special effects. the story writes, stage settings, .. it is just flat out off the hook !

Looking forward to the rumored prequels but to think those series will be just as better as the original GOT series. ....

Make sure to watch the special they made on the making of it. It's really interesting to see the involvement of the extras and then look for them in the re-watch and seeing the interview with the stuntman that played the Night King gives a new perspective to him.

Glad to see Season 4 shooting should being this October. Got to get the series wrapped up before they get too old.

Over the past 2 weeks I watched Season 1-3. All well done. Can't really say IMO that one season was weaker than another.

With El going back to Illinois, I assume Kali may be brought back, along with Brennar?

I am not sure the Upside Down was involved. I am thinking more of one of the Russians coming through a side door, not stopping to gawk at all what was happening, and doing a kidnapping.
I thought it looked great. They kept the basic look of the smokey figure Will kept seeing in the first two seasons but reduced it in size.

Possible since I don't think Owens and his crew found any Soviets when they went down. Never expanded on that. Only ones we saw dying from the blast were the ones in the suits.

But, you would think that the Army would of found some secret passage way near the rift area, aka the only spot Hopper could of escaped to to avoid the blast.

But I do think the Russians found another way to reach the Upside down due to the mid credit scenes.

The song at the end of Season 3 was the same song at the end of episode 3 from season 1 when they thought Will was dead iirc.

Sure Murray/El will find out the truth about Hopper one way or another an episode or two into S4.
