@Kevinicus brought up a good point. Most of us agree that Zeke got shafted for the 6 games suspension and criticize the way the NFL handles each case differently, I get that.

What I don’t understand is why some of you acknowledge the system sucks but you want the same punishment or worse than what Zeke got for every player that is accused of DV. How does that even make sense? You hate the process, criticize Goodell but want the same unjust punishment just because they screwed up with Zeke.

Mind you, a lot of people already think Zeke has gotten a few free passes since his suspension because the league knew they messed up.

Some are defending Hill?

Yikes.
IM not defending Hill. I am just of the opinion that all of this stuff should take place in the court system, not in the NFL offices. If a guy goes to jail for 6 months and gets out and is free to play... thats hould be it. So since in this case absolutely NOTHING is being done in th ejustice system, then nothing should be done in the NFL.

Regardless of what you want, that's not how the league works. Wouldn't it be great if it was all left in the law systems hands? That's what happened to Elliott, minus an innocent child. Elliott just has poor taste in women.

C’mon now! Zeke just put his hands on a security guard after turning around, and confronting him while he said “what did you say”? and all he got was a talk in the principles office. Don’t act like he would have been suspended over those words, I know you’re smarter than that.
If the security guard was 5 years old.. what then. Lol.

Doesn’t matter to me, he put his hands on someone else after making a threatening comment. What if he was 85 years old?

Point is, you know as well as I do, he wouldn’t have been suspended over words like you said he would be.

I really dont care one bit about what these guys do. If they are not in jail, suit up and play. Im not the moralist that thinks my beliefs should have any call into discipline for NFL players. Its all entertainment for me. Wether I "Like," a player is irrelevant when they score a TD or sack a qb for my team. Thats all I care about. Ill leave to disciplining and jailing members of society to the govt. Back when the 90s cowboys were having all sorts of issues, I used to say," Do all the coke and hookers you want on Friday night, as long as you are scoring TDs on Sunday, Im good.

With regard to Elliott vs. Hill, I think it's BS.
But, I agree with you. It's their job to play football, not be super duper model citizens or role models. I've always hated that take, though no one likes an A-hole.

What Elliot did was wrong. Point blank. I was kind of talking about him hitting his son in the chest. Or the allegations of it. Which is all it took to get Elliot suspended the first time. If it was a second infraction like that then he would get it big time and would likely be deserved. Elliot was a victim of the NFL screwing up the rice case. I am shocked hill isn’t getting suspended.

Gotchya, makes more sense now, I was surprised when I first read your post because I have always thought you were pretty rational. Thanks for clarifying :)

Let's see the girlfriend has him on tape and the boy ends up with a broken arm AND NOTHING. Zeke should have gotten nothing based off the scorn ex.

Lol. I know when he was suspended the first time it was pretty much allegations and was ticky tack. But he was told another DV infraction and your done in the NFL. With hill admitting to punishing his son like that and the allegation of the broken arm and the text to his girlfriend is way more than they had on Elliot. So if it was Elliot in hills spot do you think he gets suspended. Just wondering your thoughts. If he was then goodell bans him because it’s his second DV case.

Tough one. I honestly don’t know, yes because it was his second violation (even though the first was bogus) he’s had other “incidents” or maybe no because they are trying to get it right for once.

TBH, I haven’t read too much about the Hill case but I agree with you that part of the Zeke suspension was an over reaction due to Rice, Hardy, etc. It seems as if the league knew they may have taken it too far which some people say is a reason they’ve been more lenient with Zeke and his other minor infractions.

Regardless, Zeke’s suspension was bogus but if the NFL didn’t suspend Hill because they are trying to do things right than I actually applaud that and don’t think he should get the same or worse as Zeke just because they screwed Zeke over. If they screwed up once, and people didn’t like the way it was handled, then how can they get upset for the league trying to fix that?

Some people just want everyone accused of anything to be punished like Zeke for their own selfish reasons even though they know it was wrong. That doesn’t make sense to me.

Wow---what a disgrace to the mighty "shield". Zeke's case only had evidence showing you could not 100% say Zeke was involved yet he gets 6 games. The shield should be ashamed.

The one thing that many of you are missing is that in one very important way these two cases are apples and oranges. Zeke’s accuser was extensively interviewed by NFL investigators and cooperated with the investigation. Whether or not her version of the story was a true and accurate version of the events is open to speculation.
Tyreek Hill’s fiancé refused to be interviewed and did not cooperate in any way with the NFL, which means they had much less to go on when it comes to establishing the validity of the claims against Hill. Makes it a lot harder punish him.
