Can Moore fix the offense?

Garrett did want Linehan gone last year. I heard it from one of the insiders and I really don’t care if you believe it or not.

Claiming to have heard it from an insider is not proof. At best, you could say "I heard from an insider that Garrett wanted Linehan gone last year." I would have shrugged and been like "It's possible." You, however, stated it as fact without even adding that you heard it from an "insider." You also stated that Garrett wanted Moore promoted as fact. And rather than just say you heard it from an insider, you questioned the person who asked you about it. That's a typical tactic of someone who can't offer evidence to support their claim.

I don't know what Garrett wants or doesn't want. From an outside perspective and from quotes I've read, it seems like Garrett was unsure about Moore as OC...or if someone is trying to make it look that way. I do know that he's supposed to be the head coach and if he had any testicles he'd have fired Linehan himself last year if he wanted him gone last year.

The problem with that is that Jerry Jones is a known hamstringer of coaches. Heaven forbid they should get credit if something goes right.

I sure hope he can.

There are more than enough studs on the O to produce better than 20 points per game. Kellen ought to be able to get that done.

Put that with a D that holds everybody below 20 & we should be on our way.

It was Garretts idea to promote him.

Was it?

Direct quote from Jerry Jones:

"I've said this to [Moore]: I want those new ideas," Jones said with a smile. "I want them fought for until the glass breaks. Squeal. Holler. If they're not being implemented, call me, but let's get in here and do the kinds of things we do to get the most out of a very talented roster.

You are one of the trashiest people on this board. You troll and attack people constantly and get away with it cause of that green banner. Your hypocrisy is hilarious.
This post is a badge of honor for me cause I only expose the clueless, ignorant haters. Thank you sir!

Jerry does like to set the image that he’s in full charge but the facts say otherwise. He’s relegated personnel and coaching decisions to the coaches and Stephen.

What facts would those be? Your last statement is an assertion.

First of all the word fix. I don't think the offense needed fixing. I think it needed innovation. I think all offenses in the NFL run the exact same plays they just all disguise them differently. Let's see how sneaky he can be LOL. Run a particular play that people haven't seen in 5 years. Every time I watch a playoff game of the Patriots they throw a wrinkling

Make no mistake about it. Jerry is not the guy that's making the decisions. He's just a guy announcing them. And he has no issue with it. William McClay in the back room just smiling. Doesn't need the credit but he should get it. We all know how well Stevens doing. You just don't take over without working your way into it.

I am still in a wait and see mode about Moore, but also think it can't be any worse. Can it?
I didn't like Moore as the QB coach, as I seen no progress in the QB's last year. Though Dak did improve with the arrival of Cooper, and also seemed to get some confidence back.

I think Kitna can help even more with all 3 QB's.

However after reading everything and seeing the video with Moore and Gruden, it gave me some confidence in Moore. Also from what the players have been saying. And what Zeke said, that he will listen to them as to what they see on the field. And that he convinced Michael Irvin to believe in Moore as well.

So I will buy into that as well, and since he is our OC, believe it will be better.

When I watched the replay of the week 14 Eagles at Cowboys game yesterday. They were saying over that 5 game week span win streak how Dallas was the top offense since Cooper arrived. Tells me this offensive scheme may not be as bad as many think. But then again many fans hate a lot and put down everything about the team and players.

So if Moore can add some wrinkles, some different plays, eliminate others, be less predictable at times, and above all, improve in the red zone. It may not take a lot of innovative ideas to be a high scoring offense. But some needs to emerge as a red zone threat, other than having Witten back. But since he is back, that may open it up to others. Of course need to run Zeke more inside the 5 as well.

I am ready to see it.

The bar is low. Linehan was that bad. Given the talent level and Cooper for a full season the tools to be very successful are there. I believe he will do a good job.

It's possible, and likely is the case, however, we just have conjecture. There's nothing that actually proves that, other than some odd things that have come out over the years, like Jerry and Stephen nearly coming to blows over Johnny Football. Not sure if that is reassuring or not, to be honest.

My biggest issue is that he is still running the JG scheme. There's no way in hell a first year OC is going to be given the latitude to implement his own system. With that said, if he can be a little more creative with the playcalling, that will help a bunch. I am indifferent to him being the OC.

I think Moore is going to make a huge difference in this offense. I don’t buy that it’s just going to be a tweak here and a tweak there. Run schemes and passing routes are all well known in the NFL. It’s all about how well you disguise the players to keep the defense having to guess instead of knowing what the play is as was the case with Linehan. He’ll be willing to change on the fly once a defense gets a key on a play. He’s not just going to say “our talent will beat your talent”. I can’t wait to see this offense.

At this point everything is speculation.

I believe you atre correct in that disguising the plays will help. But every team, has the same plays, essentially. It's the tweaks weekly that make them successful. Belichick is really good at disguising his plays. And finding weaknesses and using the samew formations to run things the defense doesn't expect.

But know one knows what Moore will do and the success he will have.

I leabe you with this.

Mike Shula. The son of Don and surely a kid tnhat grew up living football around his dad.

Norv Turn rescued the team from Mike Shula.

Don't know if you realize it or not but you're saying the same thing I just said.
