So I just heard that Bill met with Jason recently. What could this mean?

If you remember Bill had gotten buddy buddy with McVey last season. McVey of course picked Bill's brain for everything that he could; which is smart as it helped the Rams reach the Superbowl. Unfortunately for McVey it turned out that Bill was taking notes on him as well.

Could it be that Bill thinks so highly of what the Cowboys are projected to be this season that he is trying to get some insight on what we will be doing with new OC Moore running the offense now in case we meet them in the Superbowl? Is this a concern for any of Cowboys Nation?

do you network with your peers at where you work? Do you share best practices and talk through different things that you are doing? I suspect that these types of conversations are very common.

Saban worked for Belichick, Garrett worked for Saban and he might be the connection. They didn't say if Garrett flew up there to specifically see Belichick or if he was just in the neighborhood since he attended college in that area.

The talk about the clapping is as silly as it is here. Watch other coaches, specifically Saban, see them clapping? Jimmy clapped and it is not applause but football speak for "let's go"! Hank Stram carried a rolled up mystery publication that he never unrolled during the games, just pounded it into his palm when he wanted to inject some energy.

Coaches do all kinds of things to control their nerves on the sideline, ever watch Carroll or Ditka chew gum? Auburn fans take packs of gum to their games to throw to their HC, a notorious chewer.

But my favorite of all time with his hands was Tom Coughlin, his frustration and bewilderment with putting his hands up in a "what the hell was that" gesture was hilarious.

It is probably just Bill feeling Jason out just in case Garrett does get let go after this season. Belichick might be thinking of adding him to his staff if that happens.

Bill is always thinking ahead.

Just a thought.
Could be and his OC has been hanging out a long time waiting for him to retire.

Bill: Jason, you are doing wonderful work down there. Don't change a thing.

Jason: (in his head: I knew it!!, I knew it!!! I'm gonna run home & tell Pappa Jerry) Why thank you Bill. It's just bad luck that's kept me from meeting you in the SB every year.

Bill: Outrageous luck indeed. (in his head: With this goofball, that's another team that is low probability to get to the SB. And if they do, I'll school him so bad ….. but he won't even be smart enough to realize it. deep chuckle)
