We can’t be sure Moore can fix the offense. I have more question marks that answers.

And if Elliott holds out it could be even more challenging.

In order to fix the offense Moore will need to fix Prescott which is probably the greatest challenge assuming it’s possible to develop him into a more prolific passer and his instincts in the pocket, etc.

You’re right we can’t. But after Linehans’s run on 1st down off tackle time and time again. And after he consistently handed off to Zeke inside the 20 when even the beer hawker in the stands knew it was coming, Moore will be different. Bank on it.

We have no idea how Moore will do as OC. The guy is being called a genius by some and has yet to call his first play in a game. The success of our offense this season will depend on playcalling and execution.

can that be substantiate?

swapping one notion for another doesn't move the needle

describing the coaching staff as A vs B, and JJ taking sides is kinda Jr high thinking

I just don't believe any FO would groom an OC (or DC) for 3 years if the HC (and QB) didn't sign off on it, if not suggest it.

Except I didn't state it as fact as the OP did. I asked a question about a thread on the forum that I remember reading about. I'm not the one utilizing junior high tactics by turning things around. "Can you prove he said that?" "Can you prove he didn't?" Isn't a valid argument if you're the one making the original claim.

I'm not sure why that tactic is something you're defending. Rockport made an error in how he presented things and got called on it and didn't like it.

You don't believe that the FO would do something the HC didn't sign off on? But according to the OP, the HC wanted Linehan gone last year. Why was he still here then? Why did the FO hire the OC before the HC back in 2007? That's something a HC should sign off on. This FO doesn't work like a lot of other ones do.

Jerry has been quoted as saying that he wants fresh ideas and if they're not being implemented, call him. Now why would he say that and who wouldn't be implementing them? There's only one guy that can overrule Kellen on the sidelines that isn't Stephen or Jerry.

I don't claim to know for sure anything. I can only speculate based on what people in the organization has stated. I don't state my thoughts on that as fact as some do. That's juvenile, as is defending it. Good day to you, sir.

Jerry has already yanked the playcalling duties from Jason and given them to first Callahan, and then Linny, and he put Jason over the D. I'd say he already has.

we don't know how any of that went down ...

I think Moore is going to make a huge difference in this offense. I don’t buy that it’s just going to be a tweak here and a tweak there. Run schemes and passing routes are all well known in the NFL. It’s all about how well you disguise the players to keep the defense having to guess instead of knowing what the play is as was the case with Linehan. He’ll be willing to change on the fly once a defense gets a key on a play. He’s not just going to say “our talent will beat your talent”. I can’t wait to see this offense.
I think he can help and am hoping he does. I was watching the Eagles vs Cowboy game 2018. The offense was using Jarwin and Schultz more and the play calling was pretty good. The Cowboys dominated the first 3 quarters but what kept the Eagles in the game was a 2 ints and 1 fumble with some holding calls negating first downs. Well never know but im wondering if Moore wasnt calling some of those plays or influencing some of those. Same thing with the Giants game.

Moore will be the new scape-goat replacing Linehan and Garrett as our passing woes will continue!

This owner loves having talent on this team. Everyone but the coaches!

Yep as since Jimmy left Jerry is all...GM...HC...OC...DC.....and we have 24 years of hunger to show for it all.

Was it?

Direct quote from Jerry Jones:

"I've said this to [Moore]: I want those new ideas," Jones said with a smile. "I want them fought for until the glass breaks. Squeal. Holler. If they're not being implemented, call me, but let's get in here and do the kinds of things we do to get the most out of a very talented roster.
