Unfortunately, it will most likely come down to that. You'll get nowhere overpaying a few stars because the rest of your roster will suffer greatly.

I don’t see any chance of this happening

On top of paying Dak over $30MM AAV and Elliott close to $20MM AAV? And then also throw in guys like Woods, Quinn, etc. who will also need new deals unless you are just letting them walk.

You seem to suggest it's simple math, so let's see the simple math. Because I think it would be extremely tight to get all those guys under contract AND then still fill out the roster with some quality players and depth.

Articles that break it down for ya:

:clap:What's interesting, we've seen at least a few times ( from posters who appear to have a good handle on cap money ) where there's more than enough cap space/money to pay at least 5-6 core players market value and still have plenty left. I'm starting to think it's personal with a number of posters/fans. For whatever reason, they have problems seeing the kids make the kind of money out there. Archive back and you'll find a few who have made a case we should let DLaw, Dak and now Zeke all walk rather than giving them market value second contracts. Pretty sure Coop is next.........lol
Lol exactly, there’s been multiple threads yet people still deny it

Hard to say. We have improved on making the tough decisions, and are even now making attempts to find a viable replacement before the huge contract decision comes up. First Scarborough, and now Pollard and Weber, guys who might be able to viably replace EZ if necessary.

We haven’t had a back like Zeke since Emmitt. People keep acting like we can win with any back. I guess you can survive with a mediocre back, but I’ll take the stud player any day. Obviously we have a cap, but the line is set for years so they should try their best to keep these triplets together for at least 5 years.

Dak has had a tremendous start to his career and will keep getting better. People that act like he’s a bum are nuts.

Lets win a superbowl before we start talking about breaking up the team.

You are largely correct, good lad.
But ours is not to judge his talent or wish him away or look askance as a drunk Zeke plays roulette with Goodell.
The ball is completely in Zeke's court. He is the one who can demand big money, not get it and pout and stay away from camp. He is also the one who can walk it off, get his nose in the game and run for 1,4000 yards this season.
It is up to him.
And it is up to Jerry, not us, to tell him "Your contract demands are premature. Your $$$ in your eyes are too big. We cannot kill our competitiveness by concentrating so much money on the triplets and field a lousy team to support you.

It's not us.
It's Zeke.
Same for Dak. He consistently ranks 15 in the eyes of "experts." That's OK. A Joe Flacco can win a Super Bowl with the right direction, but Dak needs to be realistic about his skill levels that have not caught up to his overall talents.

We the fans have no say as to the greed or dedication of Zeke and Dak.
