I'm not going to ask Broaddus to do my taxes, but he ran a draft for the Eagles where they picked 3 Pro Bowlers in one draft. That's pretty much the definition of "helping".
Ran a draft? He was a scout.

I think Romo's primary concern during that time was his broken back.
Lmao, right? Why would he be in meetings with a broken back?

Also:

"I mean, Tony did an amazing job of helping me out. I think that's what Tony realized is that, he couldn't necessarily control whether he was going to play or not. But what he can control is our relationship," Prescott said Wednesday on The Rich Eisen Show.

"And I think Tony did a great job, and I commend Tony and thank him so much for that -- of being another coach for me, of helping me out, of in the middle of the game, at practice, on the field [and] off the field, giving me advice. And as a guy who went through exactly what I went through -- taking over the position from an older veteran, and knowing what it's like to be the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, and just helping me out."

All of that, and Tony should have been playing anyways. I wouldn't have blamed Tony if he retired in week 10 or whatever.

"Anything else is a lie."

I accept the social media era is a unique time in human existence. Doing certain things like tweeting is a convenience. However, is it really that difficult to make more than one tweet explaining specifically what Romo or anyone else lied about? Has Romo claimed he was around the team a lot? Did Romo state he attended a lot of team meetings? Was Romo M.I.A. from The Star every day, every week, popped in out of the blue at whatever stadium the game was played, said, 'Wasssup guys!', to which everyone replied, "<Expletive> you Romo!"

Tweeting should not mean omitting context from what is being said.

Romo was kind of busy trying to rehab a herniated disc in his back following surgery and an ugly landing in Seattle.

Butt Fumble had nothing else to do, and Kellen Moore's uniform barely fit him.

And there were multiple shots during games with Romo sitting with Dak in between series explaining formations and going over defenses.

Jabber-mouth Broaddus is butthurt that Romo is the #1 color analyst on television, and while he's still doing a podcast for 100 people on the internet.

Whatever. Ancient history.

I've moved on.

False. Romo is constantly brought up by our fanbase. For some reason, he has this big mythical legacy and is bigger in their minds than he actually was.

But anyways, this is common knowledge. And other players have spoke on it. Romo and Witten were not leaders. At all. They isolated themselves from the rest of the team and were selfish as could be. Romo especially. T.O. spoke on how Romo and Witten would do this but because it was him, people dismissed it. Martellus spoke on Witten as well.

This whole myth that Romo really helped Dak in 2016 is laughable. He didn't care about this team if he wasn't playing. When he finally knew he was not going to get his job back, that attention seeker took it upon himself to actually write some letter to Dak and handing him the job. It was nothing but self absorbed junk. Good riddance to Romo. Dak is an actually a leader the team rallies around. Romo had none of that.

This type of aloofness is why Romo lost the locker room. How do you expect Garrett to give him his starting role back if he wasn't around at all for that '16 season?

After he tweeted this he should have ducked smh. In his own words "GET READY" its coming BB

I always thought it was Sanchez that was helping him the most. It doesn't matter anyway. Ancient news.

Broaddus is wrong about plenty of things. For sure.

But he was also a scout for a team that won a super bowl. And I believe was one of the scouts that encouraged the packers to trade for Brett Favre also.

The man has a Super Bowl ring. So people acting like he doesn’t know anything, is just not true either.

Broaddus also admits when he was wrong about things. Which I respect.

He's wrong about a whole bunch of things...He's constantly wrong about players. He's been wrong for years as a scout and admits it. He's wrong more than not as a reporter. When you are wrong this much, why is he still employed in football? Most jobs you are wrong that much, you get canned and quick.

Ehh....Broddus has had a solid career. It’s not Romo but far better than most of us can dream of here in regards to football. Well except for the guys here who can throw 100 yards and went to Polk high....those guys are forever superior.
