Plus the previous 6 games checks he missed. I would not be surprised if Zeke financially cannot afford to miss games.
You really think he blew through his $16M signing bonus already. I bet that would be hard to do in three years

Without Zeke, Dak has the opportunity to play to the level of what he thinks he deserves to be paid.

PHI picked up Ajani 2 years ago during the season(he happens to be from Frisco and available), and I couldn't tell you the myriad of backs the Pats have cycles through.
RB aren't hard to find; which is why they get cheated financially.

Whaaa....? Cheated financially? Is this a joke? The market is what it is, they're going to be paid what teams are willing to pay them. EVEN STILL these guys are making millions of dollars. Cheated financially? Haha what an utter joke.

I still think Jerry works out a deal before the season. The first game is 32 days away, not this Sunday.

8mm after taxes.

And no that is not difficult to spend.

Where are you coming up with 50% tax rate?

And no...it's not difficult to spend.
But it's also not difficult to be conservative with it and not have to work the rest of your life.

If I was in a business where I knew my career could be over in one play, I'd take option 2.

Now the question is when/if Jerry and/or Stephen are bringing in quality replacement and no that's not Morris or Polar IMO.

As expected, August 6 deadline meant nothing to Ezekiel Elliott

When word first emerged of an Ezekiel Elliott holdout, some insisted that Elliott would show up before August 6 in order to receive what would have been his fourth year of credit toward free agency. Others (us) explained that the date meant nothing to Elliott, who cares far less about becoming a free agent and far more about getting a new contract — especially since he has two years left under his rookie deal.

August 6 has now come and gone, and Elliott didn’t cave. As expected.
Can you really count on having Zeke before week 6 in ANY season?
