Exactly!!

This is what I been saying. More than likely he will prove he's not worth being the highest paid

I believe he truly knows this, which is why he's trying to cash out now. He knows he's not that great and this will be his only chance.

He's truly a scumbag for this. Really starting to hate this guy.

Thought he was a average player, but a decent dude off the field. After a few interviews, and now this, I can see he's really a true dirt bag and scam artist.

I'm not going to blame him like that because he's at camp and ready to play.

He's doing the Cowboys a big favor if he plays on his current deal because that gives them another really good look before making that kind of commitment.

I'd rather give him $40 million per year after proving it than $35 million on blind faith now.

If Kellen Moore unlocks his game and makes him a top 10 guy, then let's pay the guy. Otherwise, let's just stand pat for now.

I don't think so. They haven't countered with their own offer, and they continue to tell Jerry it's got to be the highest QB deal in the league.

Or so Ben and Skin's sources said.
The art of the negotiation is to make you believe these demands aren't a bluff. He won't be the highest-paid QB.

Dak wants more money playing quarterback for America's Team? Shame on him.

Does anybody honestly expect him to say, "naw, it's cool, I'll keep playing on this fourth round rookie deal. The yogurt commercials will make up the difference".

You think there's a middle ground between paying him on par with his NFL rank and paying him top 5 money? Dallas has OFFERED him top 5 money according to Stephen Jones. It is absurd he has turned it down and CHOSEN to play another season on his 4th round contract.

you always ask for more than you know you're going to get, that way you get more than expected

I’m in the same boat. I’m very pro-Dak, but am in no rush to hurry a deal. I want to make damn sure that Tyrod Taylor-looking stretch he put on display during parts of 2017 and 2018 is out of his system before I would hand him $30 million.

And if that means I would be running the risk of him playing lights out and earning $40 million this year, well, that’s a hell of a problem to have.
