We won't know until we know. One thing for sure, missing those DE's will make it a lot more interesting and put more pressure on the OLB's to contain Barkley.

The Giants have problems at WR so this is the offense to catch first with those DE's missing.

I just can't see losing to the Giants on opening day, even if we had a team of just Tacos and Heaths. But if we do, I'm likely to throw myself off the High 5.

hes nursing a shoulder not a leg or knee,

so he can run , do cutting drills etc until he comes off PUP..he played with it TORN, im sure he can step in be close to himself no prob, hes not sissy WR/QB..lol
Shoulder surgery for labrum tears is massively painful. One of the most painful rehabs you can go through. Most people can barely breath after it.

I dont care how bad the giants are.. the Cowboys are in prove it mode every year with many fans like myself.

The giants can easily beat us and I won't even be surprised.

I wasn't worried until this. LOL. Garrett teams are famous for playing down to the talent level of the other team..

Example please. In 2018 they stomped the Giants and Commanders (that one loss was on a fluke penalty, as we all know). They beat all the bad teams on their schedule, the Lions, Jags, Bucs, etc. They lost 7 games last year including the playoffs, and 5 of them were playoff teams. The other two were the Panthers in the first game of the season and that Commanders loss (see above).

I can do 2017 or 2016 for you too if you want. You're just flat out wrong.

Wrong, Titans embarrassed the heck out of them last season. Maybe play down is the wrong term. Perhaps not prepared is better?

This front seven has promise, but it it nowhere even close to being the best in the league. It's not even the best in the division. In fact, it might be 3rd in the NFC East. Have you seen Washington's defensive line?

The front 7 includes the linebackers. In this case: Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch. Then add in Quinn, DLaw, Maliek Collins and Antuan Woods. Best in the league. And as I said, the depth is great. Joe Thomas and Chris Covington would start at linebackers for most teams in this league. On the defensive line you have Dorance Armstrong, Tyrone Crawford, and rookies like Trysten Hill.

The Commanders have a nice defensive line but are weak at linebacker. The Eagles have no quality defensive ends.

So here we are. Again.

Demarcus Lawrence might not be ready for Week 1. Robert Quinn is suspended. Randy Gregory is in Siberia. Tyrone Crawford even has an incident hanging over his head.

So our edge rushers against the Giants could be Taco Charlton, Dorrance Armstrong, and Joe Jackson?

Plus, Zeke may be still holding out.

The entire game might be up to Dak against the Giants, except this won't be a meaningless Week 17 game.

That game is looking more losable by the second.

Hyder is there too.

Anyway, as long as Eli is back there those pass rushers you mention will be just fine. :lmao2:

There OL still may be bad, they are down on WR's. So load up the box to stop Barkley, and these guys can still get to Eli.

And I think DLaw will be ready game 1.

Don't laugh. I've been lectured in here that Eli is basically a God. Fear the goofy face....fear it!

Potential disaster in Big D.

Another season with so much promise again foiled with distractions. This is has been Garretts strength holding team together despite the turmoil.

And an opportunity for Prescott to prove he’s worth the price tag. Pretty good drama for opener. Lol

I like our linebackers, too, but they struggled down the stretch last year.

Yep, time for more injuries to the guys left before the opener.

Other teams have to play games also. The 1st few games, maybe the Giants and Commanders suffer injuries too, maybe we don't have any.

Maybe Brady breaks a fingernail, and is out for a while.

Welp, I guess this means a Garrett extension is on the horizon. Can't very well fire the fool when they don't have a defense, right? Why should the HC be expected to overcome adversity? Keep the excuse train rolling.

I understand. But we're already down at least 3 defensive ends. What if two more get hurt? Scrap heap time.

Barkley's 1st game against us he did nothing in rushing, minimal yards 11 for 28 yards. Eli checked down to him 16 times, as he caught 14 for 80 yards.
the 2nd game he had 17 carries for 109, and one was a 68 yarder (oh no the Barkley fans on here won't like this) so remove the 68 yard TD run against backup defense, and it is now 16 for 41.
He had 8 targets with 4 catches for 33 yards.

Now he should, and most likely will be better in his 2nd year. But I am not really concerned about him at this point.
Maybe it is our defense that are licking their lips. :D

so 250 yds in two games and we’re discussing how thin our line could be? Yeah I’d imagine he’s licking his chops lol

He can be licking them, but he only will be tasting his own blood. :D
