I agree with some of this but the fact Stephen said he needed Zeke to be patient, makes me wonder if his agent hadn't put them on notice this was possible.
At the end of the day it’s Elliot decision. He was smiling when he cashed that 16 million dollar check before he even took a handoff. I will say he is out performing his money this year. But look at Dak. Poor guy has to sell chunky soup on the side to make ends meet. Lol.

Stupidest move of all time if we let zeke go or trade him. He will go on to a team like Denver or even a NFC team like the bears or any other team with the cap to pay him. And shred our soft defense that got trampled by a cheese puff RB in the biggest game since the packers divisional round rematch..

He may be a hassle off the field, and wants a ton of money, but he would make another team much better - especially an NFC East team.

I remember D Law holding his injured shoulder for ransom. I also remember ET holding out in Seattle last year and being celebrated for it here.

I love selective outrage.
Big difference between a guy who was willing to and did play under the franchise tag and had zero qualms about it versus a 3 year guy, who’s already one of the highest paid at his position, sitting out with 2 years left on his contract.

The Cowboys first three games are winnable. Should Zeke still not be around, he might be done for the year. There would no zero motivation for the Cowboys to make any effort to increase their offer.

Don’t be so sure. And don’t be sure that if Dak went down (not jinxing him) that Romo wouldn’t be on the phone wanting to come back in.

When Romo is 50 and dealing with chronic issues from all the injuries he sustained while playing, you homers are still going to be spouting this nonsense.

I don't know why, but I am excited to see the rookie RB's like Pollard and Weber... I guess I am just kind of "blah" on Zeke. He's been a great player (when he isn't a distraction or suspended) but I think he's too big for his britches this time; especially with this Offensive Line if everyone is healthy. Seems like it is all "about him". I think it is all about Travis Frederick and Zach Martin, and even Jason Witten to a certain extent given his blocking capabilities. Oh well..he remains a knucklehead until further notice.

I honestly think if it gets to where the first 5-6 games are missed, the marriage might be beyond repair. We could hear trade talks before the Oct trading deadline.

The NFL is a business first and second. A distant third is the sport and team and camaraderie and all that ish that makes for great fiction writing. It’s about money. For everybody involved. Don’t kid yourself otherwise. The sooner you realize that, the more you understand why things are done from players and team perspectives.

I was already exhausted having to be a fan of his. Holding out doesn’t help at all.

It's not selective outrage for me. Go back and find a post where I was okay with D Law delaying his shoulder surgery.

As a tactic I recognize it as a good one, but doesn't the collective bargaining agreement have any enforcement mechanism requiring *timely* rehabilitation?

If not, they need to get one.
