Revisionist history is to pretend that Crayton was the sole reason we lost, the dropped pass earlier that everyone swears was a sure touchdown and the last throw to him. The whole team fell apart after the Giants marched down the field to tie the game before the end of the first half. Might as well start blaming Jacques Reeves too.
Thats a strawman argument that no one is making

And that's Appeal to the Masses, which instantly kills your credibility because people do make that argument. You don't speak for EVERYONE in the world that has a different opinion than yours.

I was 13 years old and my mom would have playoff and Super Bowl parties at my home. The game that day was SF VS DALLAS in the NFC Championship game in 1982. EVERYONE there was pulling for SF because of Joe Montana except for me, my mom and my sister. We had this large enclosed patio and everyone was out there watching the game but me, I was in the living room, alone. We were the better team and I thought we were going to win. When Clark caught that pass my heart sank. My mom came in and checked on me. She told everyone there to just leave me alone because everyone loved to aggravate me about the Cowboys. I have never been that sick over a game in my life..it was terrible.

hmm maybe 1 play per "era"? Each one of these hurt so to speak. I was easily PO for a day or more.

  • Jackie Smith drops TD pass against the Steelers in Super Bowl 13
  • The Catch 1981 NFCC
  • Deion Sanders PI against Irvin 1994 NFCC
  • Dez Bryant drop 2014 Divisional

Show me one response on this thread where anyone is claiming Crayton was the sole reason they lost that game.
And I find it funny you never responded back to me after I commented on the video you posted.

Appeal to the masses?
Are you a communist or something?

....that fricken, "THe Catch". Next day, everyone with their Nerf footballs were pointing the Montana way, replaying the play. Argghh...!! I was in Jr, High school. Still can see it now. Then to make matters worst. Sports Illustrated 2 days later place the damn pic on the cover.......................arghhh>>>!!!!!!

Fumble in the super bowl against Baltimore.

Wow -- that was the one that just bugged me to no end. I even went so far as to write a letter to the NFL Commissioner, objecting to the delay of two weeks to await that game. If it wasn't bad enough watching it, I got a stock letter from them in return, allowing that I made some good points and that they understood my position but nothing was done to affect a change in policy. Double letdown -- the game itself and the NFL's stock response. ;)

I used to believe coming of age in the 80s would've been pretty awesome. Now, I'm not so sure.

So, that's the new excuse you Romosexuals have to come up with. He had to throw it into coverage? Is that what elite QBs do? Throw the ball into coverage with 16 seconds left on the clock instead of getting the ball into their receivers hands? WOW. The fact remains that Romo threw the game ending interception and it will forever be apart of his playoff legacy.
Sorry to disappoint you but I wanted Dallas to trade Romo and draft picks for Andrew Luck. It took me while to figure out Romo was never gonna win a SB but with Dak its much easier. Dak is a gamer but no arm talent.

I don't know if any plays really "hurt" me but the one that irritates me the most is the Dez No-Catch against Green Bay. If that idiot had just focused on ball security, the refs would never have been involved and the Cowboys had a great chance to win that game.

Honestly, I don't feel so confident about Dallas' chances of winning even if the Dez catch stood. Say Dallas takes a 27-26 or 29-26 lead, assuming that the Dez catch led to a follow-up Cowboys touchdown. Then you have Aaron Rodgers, one of the best quarterbacks in all of football, driving the Packers downfield against a Cowboys defense that could usually be counted on to fold and collapse when it mattered most.

End result, probably a 33-29 Packers victory or something.

Dez catch overturned was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Still love football and the NFL, but probably half as much ad I once did....and that's probably a healthy thing.
