Suddenly, we’re getting a steal. Shoulda done your deal 6 months ago when 30m was the ceiling

IF he turned down 30 and is asking for 40 then he is probably wanting around 35. I would let him play on his current deal and see what happens...........

This is from a season and a half ago.

It also fails to mention that at the same exact time his offensive tackle let his brains get splattered into the turf.

Nevertheless, Dak did go through a really bad streak. But saying it’s just because of Zeke just isn’t true.

It is interesting that the top 7 paid QB have all went to the SB except for Cousins and most of them were on the winning team. The only two that did not start but won are Wentz and Jimmy G. I'll have whatever Dak and his agent is having.

It has to stop. These guys are playing a game, not saving lives or achieving world peace.

They're playing a game that is in huge demand by the consumer. If the money intake increases, players should get more also. We all signed up for a market economy. How does it "need to stop" when it works the way it should?

Folks, the reason the media has become unreliable tabloid media is because people take the bait, and even ask for the hook to be cast, and it is now easier to sell sensationalized nonsense than the truth. Obviously we can't know the full truth, but this story doesn't ring true, just like a boatload of rumors don't ring true, or prove to be true over time.

Perception is reality...

surely if he thinks he's worth $40 mil some team is willing to give us their first round pick for the next 4 years.

I think the Wentz deal was a great deal for philly. He was playing at an MVP level. Yes, injury prone. But the last one was a fluke ACL tear as he dove into the end zone. I love Dak, but no way he deserves $10 million/year more than Wentz.

My big problem is that Dak, and Zeke and Amari apparently, want to set the market at the position. Whereas other players on teams like Philly seem to know their true worth
The Eagles front office has always been a cut above the rest. They aren't necessarily the best drafting team. We draft better, but those movers and shakers in the front office are in my opinion a cut above the rest, and a model other teams copy.

I don't have a problem with Dak asking for 40. Like I said at another time they'll negotiate and settle in the middle. Yes Wentz when healthy is better than Prescott, he's missed at least 1/2 a dozen games or more and a bunch of playoff games. You could be the best quarterback in the world if you're not on the field you can't help your team win.
Personally I think it's all smoke and mirrors, and a part of the negotiations. I wouldn't be shocked if Prescott cut a deal for under 30 million.

Leaks to the media are designed to sway public opinion. I'm guessing this leak came from the front office to turn public sediment against Prescott hoping the backlash will make his camp lower their asking number.
