Suspensions on the defensive line 6 years in a row. Average QB trying to get Hall of Fame money. Constant-issue RB holding out. Inconsistent receiver seeking super elite money.

All overshadowing actual football.
The suspensions I’ll concede. There is no such thing as HOF money though, there is just negotiating at a particular point in time under whatever are the current market conditions

Wth is wrong with these guys?

Dak doesn't deserve top dollar period.

Coop doesn't deserve top dollar period.

Zeke is the only player out of the 3 that deserves top dollar EXCEPT he's a suspension waiting to happen, consequently he doesn't deserve top dollar. Lol

I understand these guys wanting to be taken care of, but they are comparing themselves to better more established players and its simply not an accurate comparison.

Furthermore at what point do you decide you are compensated fairly and you would like to remain on a team that has sustained success rather then be dismantled by excessive salaries and cap constraints? I mean how important is WINNING to these players?
Awesome post..

But, but, but,..

He's a leader!!

And winner!!

And is marketable!!

Who cares about his ability to throw a football or read a defense ?!

None of those things matter!!

Nail on the head! I believe some fans are just blind as a bat!

This is so easy to deal with. Auction Dak off to the first team willing to part with 2 no. 1's, You can franchise Cooper next season and Zeke has to play
to get his 4th year. Jerry goes to Romo and begs him to come back for one season with the guarantee that Romo can fire Garrett at the end of the season.
Easy Peasy...Nice and Squeezy.

choices are.......

overpay them all and enjoy Cowboys football for 3-5 years - drought after that. Jerry's money, contributes to league salary insanity but possible short-term, immediate gratification for us.

or

expect hardball play by FO in return and possible drought sooner, windows closing and rebuilding in critical areas. We have skin in this game, want a long-term approach w/o mortgaging our future on questionable talent.

ugh.....

Jerry needs to stop being too nice . This use off the media to manipulate the team , holdouts , price hike game , all leads to erosion of trust by the fans and teammates.

Just look at the winning programs like the patriots . You mess around and get greedy , you’re out . No one is irreplaceable.

If they do they should be committed

And take Jerry and Steven with him
Lol! Great minds think alike! I’m 60 years old and been a fan for 52 years. I’m so disgusted with JJ and this organization. I love em and keep watching games but anybody in their right mind knows we’re never gonna win another SB with JJ being large and in charge.

Did google also tell you the #1 pick of the NFL draft also came from a heavy zone read offense?

And we can debate the merits of selecting an air raid QB that high given their history in the NFL, but OU runs a far more sophisticated passing scheme than Texas does. UT runs a read RPO scheme with two viable routes the QB checks every play before the snap. If he chooses pass, he has a route and a check down.

Oklahoma runs runs a mashup of air raid and west coast concepts out of 4 receiver sets with pretty exotic route concepts. They run a lot RPO as well but the passing tre is more complex when they do

I seen this on twitter, everyone was busting out laughing...
The same way they do at our entire organization with our outstanding GM and HC! We were already the laughing stock of the NFL. Does this take us to a new level?

He has 32 wins. Those arent his wins it's the team. 2 playoff appearances. The engine of the team is zeke again that's a team accomplishment. Rookie of the year. That was great but zeke was right there. His Tds and INTs vs Wentz. Dak has played in 48 regular season games. Wentz has played in like 28. That's almost half of Daks total games and he has 3 TDs less. When you pair head to head they leave that out. Goff has a SB appearance. Wentz would have but got injured. Rodgers, wilson, Ryan all have at least appeared in the super bowl. And were all MVP candidates. Dak really has never been an MVP candidate and hasn't appeared in an SB. 23 TDs ?! All of these guys have had 23 TDs by game 12 or three quarters of a season or earlier. Dak needs to play out this season and play well to ask for 35 mill. To get 35 mill he needs to THROW 35 Tds. I'll gladly fork it over if I were Jerry. That means he needs to get two TDs per game at least throwing wise. I'm sorry but 23 Tds a year isnt worth 35 million a season. If you want to add the 6 rushing tds then he needs to get a total of 36 plus Tds .

I promise you Dak has not played in 20 more games than Wentz...this whole post is filled with incorrect stats/facts/and assumptions.

Try again or just stop.
