Doesn't every QB get elevated by having great players around him?

I’m not entirely sure why you’re all playing stupid to the fact that some QBs make the players around them look better while middling QBs often need great players around them to perform at a high level.

I just responded to what the poster wrote. In any case, obviously some QBs can be more successful than others with a lesser cast around them, but realistically there aren't the large number of QBs that can carry a team on its back the ways some posters seem to think. Brady obviously can. Brees. Rodgers (at least prior to last year). Outside of that … ? We saw things went South for Big Ben when there were troubles with his star RB and WR. Russell Wilson won when he had the top defense in the NFL and a top tier RB. Rivers is an outstanding player, and has been for many years, but hasn't won it all. I just don't see the abundance of elite QBs that don't need high quality talent around them.

Go back to the last Cowboy SB's - did Aikman win without both Emmitt and Irvin? And a top O-Line? And a strong TE?

The idea is to build a team that can win together isn't it?

THAT is why you don't report to camp before having the owner of your team finalize your extension Amari and his representation.

Sucks though...hope he is not affected by this all season or going forward. Foot issues are not easy.

Edit: just saw Mike Fisher's tweet

In other words, the dreaded Plantar fasciitis. Calling it an irritation just sounds a little less scary.

Plantar fasciitis isn’t a ligamentous injury

They’re most likely referring to Achilles tendinitis

Giants already have a player suspended but he got 4 games for PED’s instead of two? Why is that?

Maybe because it is the way the performance enhancing policy is written and enforced. (He got hit for the 2nd part, not a masking or diuretic agent - bear in mind I am not necessarily saying I agree with it):

"If a player tests positive for a diuretic or masking agent, he will be suspended for two games without pay. Positive tests for anabolic agents or stimulants result in a four-game suspension"

Huh...finally an answer! Thanks a lot for looking that up, I had no idea.

I thought fertility drugs were masking agents but who knows, makes enough sense.

Just a little voice of reason here boys- If we get hit with some injuries that waffle into the season with guys like Cooper, I honestly think there is a silver lining there in the sense of coaching must step up! Most of us here have been saying for years that Garret can only win with a loaded roaster with pro bowlers at every position. If we have some injuries, the win win here is we get to see if Garret can show he has progressed and can do some damage with his *** on the line. I think most of us don't think he can, so if some of our better players go down, I feel this will be where Garret has to put up or shut up quite honestly.

Then what was the first 8 weeks last year or the 6 without Zeke? Or that pesky little 2015 season?
