dak deserves more of a pay raise than zeke imo. zeke was drafted as the #4 overall pick and paid as such. he's lived up to his billing. when he signed his deal he was paid as a top 3 rb without ever playing a down. he signed a rookie contract and needs to finish it out. i wouldn't mind giving him more money if he wants to extend, but it would have to come at a discount relative to gurley. he shouldn't be the top paid rb if he's extended with 2 years remaining.

While that’s probably true, is Dak worth 2x more than Zeke going forward (cap hit). IDK.

Not a huge one but I doubt he demands to be the highest paid LBers. I suspect he would except top 5 money.
I hope you are right.

Would be nice for a change for one of our players to not demand to be the highest paid in the league at their position.

Me too! Really wish Jerry would step over Zeke, Dak, and Cooper, and give you a long term deal. Maybe out of spite. Wait. Completely out of spite to show love to a dude that is all about team, and the Dallas Cowboys!

Jaylon is a winner. High FB IQ...a nasty player, and great teammate. Sign him now, let Zeke come in and play half a season. Sign Zeke long-term NEXT SEASON. Its just business 101. Dollars and cents matters.

I 'd be shocked if he is on the team after his contract is up. They all want the money. They don't care about teams.
There aren’t many people in any line of work that wouldnt switch jobs for a significant pay raise

Hence why I won't be shocked. I didn't say there was anything bad about it.

Well, you did say they don't care about teams, which would be a bad thing. My take is they do care about the team, but the team is secondary to their own welfare. Most would prefer to stay with the a team they are comfortable with and have been productive with and have put a lot of effort into helping - there would be satisfaction for the player in continuing to see the team improve and be a contender. But in the end they aren't going to sacrifice a lot of money for that because their peak earning window is very limited.
