Mahomes, Watson, Mayfield, Wentz and many other young QBS put the team on their backs and not the other way around..

There's a difference between a franchise QB and a game manager.

Look at the difference in Cleveland with Tyrod Taylor (game manager) and Baker Mayfield (franchise QB)..

It was night and day.

Same players, same coaches, same "scheme" and once Baker took the field, that team changed.

Same in Kansas City with Smith and Mahomes..

They are both younger than Dak.
(Except for the part where Dak is 32-16 as a starter with a playoff win, which completely craps on the records of Wentz, Watson and Mayfield.)

(He has also statistically been better than all 3 of them.)

(Oops!)

If you're talking big picture.

If you're talking individual players, then it's kind of idiotic to reference that "stat."

You will never understand this simple fact.
He understands it... he’s just trolling at this point.
As soon as the talent starts drying up around here and “Dak” starts going 4-12 that troll will transform into the Bill James of football digging up stats to prop up Dak...

He’s gonna get 33. He should not get paid more than Rodgers, Wilson or Ben as they’ve all proved their worth in a previous 2nd contract.

I blame the 49ers and Jimmy G. It got crazy from there. Since he got 27.5 and Wentz 32 of course he wants more. He’s done more, but he hasn't done it himself.

Russ 35
Ben 34
Rodgers 33.5
Dak 33
Wentz 32
Ryan 30

Man I can’t wait to see your reaction when he signs a new deal.
The issue I have when guys say if Dak was worth it he would have had a deal.... Is the same can be said for Zeke or Cooper or any other player not signed. It's the dumbest statement I have ever read. Not only that he says Dak hasn't got 30 million, not sure if he has noticed it but it's a known fact that he was offered 30 million

Well, he had something to do with it by playing well and taking over the starting role, but there is nothing to blame him for. That’s what every young player is trying to do. It’s what Romo was trying to do when he stepped in for Bledsoe.
Yeppers, yet ( hindsight growling out loud) #9 still had that most preferred in the savviest of premiere tread on the wheel's, with some +plus octane FOOTBALLIN' FUEL left in His tank,,, what was that lameness espoused outta' commands collective pieholes? ,,something about "we don't wanna wreck with a hex the Dak's Mo-Jo,,,SHEESE!
MAN, best case scenario?,,,#9 lit a fire that ravaged the league with that 2016 personal on that team( er,,,tony got/had Arron's casing-liner number, fellers & Dak could've learned& seasoned up some in the process)
Worst case scenario? ,,,well,,,He'd of got crunched, crushed& crippled up once again, whether it was of an intentionally waylay, like some O.L. purposely stumbling & letting a solid torpedo slice thru on him, or he'd of been gotten wrecked up in tight fashion thru it honestly?,,, the #4 would've rolled right out & picked up from where he'd left off, as there was zero trade value with #9 as we all well know, thru the gift of 20/20 hindsight, keeping him wrapped up in a velvet jock-strap& telling him to shut-up& ride the pine, was formulated straight outta' the weaslenutt mindset of some vindictive needledicked lesser footballish individual of relatively powerful clout from within the organization.o_O

* rant concludes with a final ,,,SHEESE*

Romo is bringing up an obvious point that, inexplicably, most people fail to consider: Forget about Dak’s shortcomings. Instead, ask yourself, How does the offense operate under him?

Efficiently. In some cases, historically efficient.

Then people start throwing around the bus driver label. And the main criticism against bus drivers is they can’t deliver with the game on the line. They can’t make game-winning plays when they have to.

Does that sound like Dak to you?

He has fourteen fourth quarter comebacks during his career. We have a quarterback that runs a productive offense and makes plays in crunch time. What else are you looking for?

Well said. Sure, Dak has his shortcomings as we all do, but he has been efficient typically, and he's done a solid job for us.

somebody who can carry an offense with little to no talent to absolute greatness.

Unfortunately there are very few QB’s who can do that on earth.

That’s the one thing Dak can’t do—carry a substandard team—and it would be a consideration when you pay him. The thing is, how many quarterbacks can? I’m not sure Aikman is on that list.

This stat includes seven games throwing to the immortal receiving corps of Allen Hurns, Deonte Thompson, and Tavon Austin, too.

Wonder where Dak ranked if the PFF nerds only count the nine games he had Amari Cooper?

I wonder how he'd do throwing to someone like TO in his first few seasons. I'm not doing a QB comp, btw. I'm just curious to know how he'd do had he had TO in 2006 and 2007.

It’s the same thing I factor in with my thoughts that keeping Dak is in the teams best interest.

IMO there is only about 5 QB’s in the league that can carry poor teams to anything substantial. And it’s incredibly incredibly hard to find a QB that can do it.

And even if you do find one, they still need some help to win a Super Bowl. No QB wins a Super Bowl with a bad team around them. Hasn’t happened in the history of the NFL and will never happen. Obviously there’s varying degrees of how much help they need.

That is the thing. Some posters seem to think there are a lot of QBs that can do this, but there really aren’t

I understand it I just don’t care. This team wins with Dak. I don’t care how they do it they do it.
Why should I care how they win as long as they do it?

Only people who don't want to factor in wins are the Romo apologists.

Honestly can Tom Brady even do it? If you give him Jason Garrett as his head coach......is he still on a Super Bowl winning team?

When has Dak ever gone 4-12? When it happens I'll worry. AS of right now? It ain't happen. HE's won in spite of terrible coaching that's for sure.

Why do you insist on insulting the other players on the team? That's what you're doing with this nonsense.
