The games he missed in 2008 and 2013 potentially cost us playoff spots.

Missing even 1-2 games is a big deal when your backup QB is garbage.
Of course. However, I am disputing the intimation that Romo was injury prone. He was not injury prone until Jerry let the OL fall apart and got him beat up badly.

Yep and I don't see any progress from last year at all. In fact, he might have regressed from what I saw last year.
He's still got two games to get at least one TD drive, but I wouldn't bet on that happening based on his play so far.
He doesn't appear to be able to handle the speed of the game. He doesn't see receivers that he should.

The Cowboys current stable of QBs won't be able get anything done if Dak goes down.

I’d say “injury prone” is a fair label for Romo, but that’s just semantics.

He missed games due to injury in 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2016. We made the playoffs just once in those 5 seasons, which was 2016 when Dak saved the day.

He didn’t miss games due to injury in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014. We made the playoffs in 4 of those 6 years.

If Dak is the type of QB who will be an ironman for almost his entire career, that’s a huge feather in his cap and a major attribute when considering his worth.

The brain-dead crowd who hates Dak’s guts won’t care either way, but the rest of us should appreciate what a durable QB could mean for this franchise. It’s a big deal.

He was injury prone toward the end of his career. For the first 9 seasons of play, he only had one season where he missed significant time.

2013 was a significant injury too... the only reason that cost him just 1 game is because it occurred in Week 16.

Had we won in Week 17, Romo would’ve missed the playoffs.

He's not good enough to run the practice squad. Very unfortunate because he looked OK last year and thought he might have some promise but I am just not seeing anything remotely positive about his play. Rush looked like Aaron Rodgers coming in after watching White for a couple quarters. Blech!

Not to pile on the guy but what clinched it for me was the beat writers tweet during the game...Mosher, who tweeted " in 2 seasons White had started 20 offensive drives which none ended in touchdowns."

Now I'm naturally kind of a contextual guy when it comes to data analytics and believe in lots of gray area involved in compiling bottom line results that is often overlooked.

In the case of this guy's development or Garrett's process with this individual, I see nothing that shows even the tiniest of incremental improvement in his play. A waste of time even. I think, as others have posted, that there's a fundamental deficiency with this organization's overall ability to properly assess QB talent in general.

Just my 2 cents.

White is a third string QB that’ll won’t even suit up some games

It’s not too many third string QBs that look good

31 QB series with Mike White

0 touchdowns. Let that sink in

Oops, just now scrolled back and see that you kinda beat me to the posting of this alarming stat that I also posted. Thought it was 21 but the point is still the same.

Cut Mike White? But he is our next OC !

He understands the offense perfectly, an Offensive Guru , if you will .
