.... after last night Zeke's dollar dropped a bit. Pollard showed makings of being a capable back for the job. Still lots to see, but good start. Jerry has said before he overpaid players before, then couldn't pay the others.

the cowboys did mention gurley money. but that was meant to be at the end of zeke's current deal, not two years early. zeke threw a wrench into the reduction gear.

Pollard looked good but it was against the Rams backups. I expected the Cowboys starters to easily move the ball down the field last night. If Donald, Talib, Mathews, Weddle and the other starters had been playing, it would have been far more difficult. It was like a college team playing a high school team and we still were 7-7 at the end of the first quarter. Zeke is the generational talent and I'm sure Jerry knows it.

Let's see Pollard have another nice outing against some starters next week before we get carried away.

As disrespectful as sitting out with 2 years left on a contract after everything Jerry has done for him? I could only hope you’re right.

There's no reason to throw a shot at him through the media. Zeke isn't out here trash mouthing the Cowboys and negotiating through the media.

He represents the Cowboys every time he’s in public, do you think he’s done a good job?

Personally, I think he’s been a complete embarrassment and is a large reason we get unwanted attention. Jerry is having to babysit a grown man that he’s paying millions to. Believe me, I’m no Jerry fan either, he’s an embarrassment as well but at least Jerry owns the team and is therefore responsible for the distractions he creates.

And I beg to differ, sitting out is non verbal negotiating through the media.

Jerry was just having fun. It was obvious to everyone that it was a joke. He even turned to the camera to make sure Zeke knew they were just joking and having some fun, not intended to be at his expense. Pollard is an exciting player who could end up with a nice roll, but he’s not make no anyone forget Zeke.

Pollard isn't Ezekiel, and neither is Alfred Morris. I understand the art of the negotiations but no amount of propaganda will make me forget how special Ezekiel is not only in his talents of running the football, but staying healthy when doing so. The guy is a freak.

You already went there, anybody with half a brain knows EXACTLY who you're talking about. This guy lives in y'all's head rent free, literally makes you insane. It's truly hilarious.

Zeke better hope like hell Pollard doesn't go off for 100+ in the season opener.
Based on what I’ve seen from that Giants D, I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if he does. That would be awesome is so many ways, sticking it to the Giants and Zeke at the same time!

I'm wondering if at some point Stephen is going to reign Jerry in a bit. The story Jerry told about the almost severed hand seemed really bizarre and Jerry told it as if he were giving a lecture. Jerry tells everyone a few months ago that the Cowboys would sign all three and now he's surprised that they want more money.

If Jerry really made that "Zeke who?" comment then if I'm Zeke I am demanding a trade .
Very disrespectful

He said it. Not once but twice. He was asked if Pollard play helps with his negotiations with Zeke and Jerry replied “who”. The reporter thought he was talking about Pollard and asked the question again. And Jerry replied “Zeke who”. Jerry didn’t realize there was a camera on him when replied the second time. The reporter starts laughing and then points out the camera after Jerry makes some comment about joking or something. The vid is floating around in Twitter somewhere.

He has every right to hold out. He's one of the premier talents in the NFL who is (a) being paid near the minimum the league allows and (b) has less time to capitalize on that than any other player on the team.

It's easy to say honor your contract but not even the biggest detractor of Zeke would try and argue that it's fair.

And whether you agree with it or not it has already worked for him, as the Cowboys have already offered him a contract that will increase his salary several times over

That stealthy TD run Pollard executed was so awesome it made Jerry spill his glass of JD Blue...

Yeah, I liked what I saw last night in Pollard too. But keep in mind his good showing last night was against the rams backups. And also keep in mind that DC’s don’t game plan for PS games, so his excellent work last night was against a base vanilla defense.

I think we have an excellent young player in Pollard. I believe he will be an outstanding change of pace weapon this year. But I’m not ready to proclaim his greatness until he faces starters in a game that actually means something.

This, was not first team D for the rams out there.

LOL....Jerry having to much of the Blue label....
\Ok Jerry go to war without #21 and depend on Pollard and Dak...
GL with that Jerry.
We will win minimal 6-7 games and that's because of our defense.
I agree, we will win 6-7 games by week 8 without Zeke.

There is no such thing as a elite RB. Better than average maybe.

Zeke was the number 4 overall pick, he isn't making league minimum. Now if you are talking about Dak than yes, he gets paid less than backup QBs.
