Yeah, it's a pathetic attempted "get out of jail free card" for coaching failure and shortcomings.

"The gameplan was brilliant, the players failed to execute that brilliance."

Wouldn't it be great to actually have a job where nothing that goes wrong is ever your fault? It's too bad the real world doesn't work that way.
well....meteorologists..... no offense to anyone here that has that profession

there is a reason he is trying to lose weight, which may be even he thinks he was overweight??
There's a difference between being overweight and being at the wrong weight.

I don't know which is true, but he might have carried a few extra pounds just to better absorb all the contact he takes.

Yeah..it would have been a big run but you know he would have run out of gas and run out of bounds at the 40.ha
If you look at the sideline view, there were other defenders close that disengaged when the fumble occurred.
But some think there's such a thing called "fumbling on a TD run" Lol.

Wow! I did not know that! I always thought that it was simply Garrett repaying a favor to a down-on-his-luck friend that gave him his first shot.

How was it that Aikman knew enough about Linehan to recommend him?

If anyone knows the answer to that, I'd appreciate their input. Let's see if Google is really my friend . . . ;)

All I could gather from Google is that Troy was familiar with his background and knew he "had a long history of success." After learning that much, I got a screen to subscribe to the Dallas Morning News and opted out of it . . . Admittedly, that's not much info but better than nothing, I guess.

How did he mismanage that game in 2014?

Demarco fumbled on a touchdown run that would have made it 24-7 in the second quarter. Dez caught it. How is that on Linehan?
He didn't catch it.

Exactly. Point is Pappy likes to pretend all these all pro linemen are required for Prescott to be successful. Truth is they were required for Romo as well.

true, but so far we're struggling more than we should be with these all pro lineman and Dak, and we have the leading rusher on top of it. Something doesn't add up.

Yeah he has his moments. The pendulum seems to swing both ways heavily

2016 Zeke is still the best Zeke we have seen because he had more home runs in his pocket.

The last couple of seasons he has just looked too bulky.

Ohio State 6 pack Zeke that has enough power but can also scoot like a dart is a better back then Marshawn with another gear Zeke.

Hopefully dropping some weight will give him back his top speed.

Well overweight is a "wrong" weight isnt it?? lol
But I know what you mean.
Regardless of his weight, I have noticed things that are indicating he isnt or hasnt been in top shape/condition.
Last year aikman and others commented on how E could no longer outrun the defense to the sidelines and turn up field as he could do
in 2016. Basically he no longer has the same speed he had in 16.
Last year we all noticed his breaks where he was gasping for air, which indicates he is out of condition, over weight and therefore has to take
those breaks, some of which left him on the sideline during a 3rd down play which Aikman joked about.

EE needs to stay in shape and condition year round, and he seems to just want to party all off season, then show up at TC time and try and get in shape.
And there is no way that will work and him be as good as he could and should be for the amount of money he gets paid even now, much less if he gets
a new contract.

That’s good news about Zeke’s weight.

I was concerned that while holding out in Cabo he might develop chronic biscuit toxicity (cbt).

I think everyone is just kidding around Blue. Nothing else to do until the season starts and we see or don't see Zeke in the lineup. Honestly, I think some are frustrated with our star running back wanting a new contract with 2 years left on his old agreed upon/signed deal. Just my take.
it truly isnt not his fault the Cowboys added the 5th yr option, he had no choice..he signed 4yr deal as and asked for a new one after 3 was up just like the rules say he can.. Cowboys uses this only on good players they will try and low ball and stretch out ,use up and cut like Zeke.. he deserves new deal and I hope he sits until he gets it..it was a 4yr deal, lets not get it twisted and it bacme 2 more years after they JUST ADDED the 5th year so that one rule for the team and the 3yr ids the rule for the layer to ask for new deal.. stalemate hold out..who blinks

Rotoworld has seen a lot of fantasy players come and go over the last decade, and they say that skill players losing weight is almost always a positive.

Zeke is one of the few players I could see an argument for putting on weight, as he just takes so many hits, but I would not be upset to see him playing at 220 at all.

More ammunition for why the rest of the NFL is avoiding Linehan like the plague that he is.

His former defenders would do well to finally realize it.
You might have lingering issues. Get rid of them, matey.

I think the Cowboys blink first. If they want to have any chance of winning a championship, that road is named Elliot Blvd. :)
