Fans fell in love with his freakish size but that should have told you he can't play in the NFL. Waste of time.

He may not ever develop into a starting caliber CB or S, but his size & speed offer some potential to be a ST ace, especially as a gunner.

Matt Slater is by no means an NFL WR, yet he's playing in his 12th season and has made 7 Pro Bowls. Not trying to say Westry is absolutely going to be Slater, but he has the potential to be valuable.

Reminds me of the S they drafted years ago and was about the same size.
Patrick? But can't remember if that was his 1st or last name.

Well, he couldn't play either.

Exactly. He was a little better than Westry but the same logic applies. He was too tall and lanky to have the agility to play defensive back at that level. The odds are so stacked against guys that size.

What's sickening is our overrated quasi coordinator is more interested in freak shows like this than an actual talent like Jourdan Lewis.

Maybe we should swap Lewis for Rasul Douglas? Douglas is 6'2" and 210, long arms, strong press corner, decent enough speed. Eagles seem to prefer the bendy smaller corners... see Ron Darby and Avonte Maddox.

Until he was signed by Seattle to play against Cowboys in playoffs. Played very well for being on street week prior.

Tuna decides to can himself for coaching career after that game.

Patrick Watkins.

Same guy Parcells was yelling to on learning to tackle properly or he'll break his neck.

don't be surprised if Westry does not even play at all during preseason,
1) in an effort to not expose him to the eyes of the rest of the NFL, whereas they can try to sneak him thru waivers en route to
practice squad ...
2) or if he has a significant high sprain ankle ..then they could well stash him on IR
we know he has zero chance of making 53 roster, so it's more about stashing him for next year.
This.

Was that Watkins ? I thought they signed Pete Hunter.

Westry is NOT going to make the 53. If you want him on the Practice Squad, then you do NOT want to play him a lot and show everyone else in the league that he has potential. And he's hurt. :)
