after sticking up for you when you made a bad choice? still having 2 years on your contract ad taking off?

Im not a big JJ fan, but this is silly after what Zeke is not just doing to himself but the whole team.
I hope Pollard runs like his hair’s on fire the next 2 games. Then make Zeke trade bait.

This is the prevailing attitude of the public and why the media always trumps up what players ask for in negotiations with both sides knowing that will never happen. But it stirs up the "outrage" that gets the clicks they want. It's also why fans almost always side with owners when a deal gets hammered out even though as I said, the owners are why we're here seeing all this. If I were a player, I wouldn't give 2 spits what the public thought either and wipe my tears with $10 bills after I signed, lol.
I find life to be more enjoyable when I focus solely on my bank account.

It's pretty tough for me to be on Zeke's side when he has been such a pain in the *** since he has been a Cowboy. It's not like he is just Mr. model citizen and hasn't hurt the team.

I knew they would end up twisting this. Cherry picking what they want. Now Elliot and his agent is booty hurt.

If he isn’t ready to go and playing in the first game then I would be offended if I am JJ. He signed the contract and cashed the checks.

They (Zeke & his agent) may not really even be particularly bothered anyway. It may well just be posturing for the press and the public.

It’s just hard for me to sympathize with anyone whoa) gets that much money to play a game
and more importantly b) don’t honor their contracts, especially someone in Zeke’s situation

He would be fined and sitting for the next 2 years.
That has no teeth, the players know that the new deal erases all past transgressions. All is forgiven.

Some assume Elliott wants them to lose without him and have to crater but what if they show they do not need him? He gets traded or outright released and is free to do his own deal.

glimm, I am of the mindset that he might want out and this as much to get them to trade him as to get a new deal. Is he happy in Dallas? Is he happy being a Cowboy? Is he happy leading the league in carries every season and being on a team so dependent on him. He equates that to years in the league and making millions, less might be more in his mind.

They all hold out based on their ego, an ego fed by their agent. And that having more money than most of us isn't their point. Their comparisons are not that.

Does any NFL player have the concept of team? When he was on the field, when did he fail to give everything he's got?
To sum it up...Tom Brady and Denver.

....if Dallas goes without Zeke first 3 games and win them. He will want out. Better to be busy than being roadkill... Bwahahaha...

What does that mean?

Zeke can never play in the NFL if he never reports to play. His contract will "toll" if he skips the season which means his 2019 contract parameters will just move to 2020.
Unless there are some changes to the CBA and retroactive. I've not heard about the option or tag relative to the negotiations but that might be something the owners are willing to give up instead of a %.

It just looks to me like Zeke and his agent are doing all they can to deflect criticism away from themselves to direct it at Jerry, instead. Too bad!

Just small potatoes coming from a touchy pair of battle-fatigued bozos. They stepped on Jerry's toes; now he's stepping back and so it goes. ;)
