Because it draws attention to him and I can't stand that gesture. I am not saying he doesn't want the carries but he wants to be paid for them what he thinks they're worth.

Lawrence at 21M, Prescott at 33M and Cooper at 17M vs 3M for him, does not compute. And he did not bring this up, they did. Doesn't mean he wouldn't be holding out but they started this in the media, just like they did with the QB and then planted that he was asking for 40M to make him look greedy.

I want him to holdout because I want to see the team for real without him. If they struggle, then make him the highest paid RB because it's evident there is no discussion about the team MVP.
That's exactly where I am. I'm tired of hearing about it. I hope he holds out so we can know for sure. If Jerry doesn't want to pay him then get rid of him. Quit talking in the media. People say Zeke is an embarrassment, well so is Jerry. And I actually think Jerry's enjoying all of this. It keeps the Cowboys in the news during the hot days of summer.

To answer your questions...its okay for them to do it for the same reason I can ask for a raise and look for another job if I don't get it, any time I want and my employer can fire me at any time they want. Players get cut all the time for not performing up to their contracts, and sometimes even when they do, just because the organization no longer feels they can afford them. CAP cuts happen every year. What's good for the goose and all that.

Yes, I would also feel the same way if LVE did it.
A lot of players get cut but they also got guaranteed money. So what protection do the owners have that players will perform at the price they’re paying them after they have already given them several million guaranteed dollars?

I don’t know how your job works obviously, but my employer can’t fire me anytime they want without severe legal action that I would almost be guaranteed to win. They would have to have quite a big file of violations on me to do so.

Elliot is an embarrassment to himself. That's what I mean when I personally say it. Jerry is the face of the franchise. I think that's way worse somehow. But I'm not sure what he said embarrassed us at all. I've heard worse

Does it really matter if he laughed, or smiled, or snorted or whatever his physical reaction was?
Yes. What was the point of saying it? It wasnt funny at all. It was pointless. Closer to disrespecting than humor clearly.

That's still funny to me. A team with an offensive genius needs his offense to run more than anybody else to work. Even with everybody's favorite Romo Garrett ran ran ran. Pathetic coach

I have a few reactions to this ...

The first is that the "offensive genius" and "everybody's favorite" comments don't help your argument. Both comments indicate you aren't interested in fair minded discussion.

Second, if a team has a strong running back, and a strong running game, why would using those things somehow mean a coach doesn't have a strong offensive mind? Seems a smart coach takes advantage of the tools available to him.

Finally, Garrett didn't "run run run" until 2014. In fact, the first several years he was head coach he was often criticized for not running enough, or for abandoning the run too quickly in games. Besides, after the way things turned around in 2014, how could anyone argue that using the running game more extensively wasn't worthwhile?

Good for Jerry he is the owner and can say what he wants . When you act like a punk and don't honor your commitments your word means nothing and you get no respect .

When Zeke learns how to be a man and honor his commitments then maybe he will get respect till then he is no better than the piss boy

It was a JOKE. Grow up people! If Zeke found this offensive it’s because he is a sensitive little baby! For him to get his feelings hurt over this after Jerry has constantly stood up for him is ridiculous!!!!!

He said he thought it was funny, period. Does he have to tell you he laughed so hard snot came out his nose to support that? A mere smile or even a thought in a person's head is enough for a someone to think something is funny.

That's sad if it was said by a grown adult that watches football enough to be on this website
Why? cuz I don't think one man makes a football team. Did you see Elliot trip over his ego against the Rams on the goal line. You see how many balls he puts on the ground lucky to get them back. Do you see himself, taking himself out of the game when he gets a little gassed. I could go on but you're the one who wouldn't like it
