When he didnt run run run we sucked. Ok?
Did you watch the game against the Ravens, against the Giants,. Everybody was looking for 300-yard passing games that's what we do without Elliott. Personally I'd rather have him but I think he's a knucklehead. I guess you think we're nothing without him. And I find that more sad then anything else I could have said

It was inappropriate to say

Especially when you think Pollard who has all of 9 carries in two games can shoulder the load when he’s never played a full regular season game (I hope he can)

If Pollard plays as well against the Texans’ starters as he did against the Rams, the only leverage Zeke will have is his observed durability. Zeke is a volume player.

It was a JOKE. Grow up people! If Zeke found this offensive it’s because he is a sensitive little baby! For him to get his feelings hurt over this after Jerry has constantly stood up for him is ridiculous!!!!!
I guess you're the brunt of all jokes in your workplace. Some people have no pride. It's ok, it'll all be ok.

I'm glad that Zeke and his agent were offended. Because everyone else is offended that you and your client decided to hold out with two years left on your contract.

So I am very glad that both of them now know how it feels to be offended.

Stay home and throw your tantrums. And everyone - both players and agents - can learn from your examples of exactly what NOT to do.

Zeke and his agent sound like giant babies.

Let’s note, doofus, it’s you and you client who are making this an issue, not the Cowboys.

Your client is under contract. You chose to hold him out. Claiming disrespect now on what was clearly a joke that anyone who isn’t a douchebag could recognize is laughable and idiotic.

Let me tell you what I find disrespectful, people make comments. Derogatory comments about a post or something someone said. But they disappear and don't wait for the rebuttal. Actually I think it's cowardice which is worse.

A bit disrespectful even as a joke? Probably. But probably no worse than holding out when you’re still under contract for two years.

Holding out from training camp while under contract is a hardball negotiating tactic. So he can’t get too bent out of shape if Jerry plays hardball back.

Personally I would prefer Jerry not make the little quips like that.

I will add: I wish both sides would get a deal
Done already.

Well said agree on all points!

Lol, I can just see Zeke seething over this, he’s not used to being “disrespected”. I would bet dollars to donuts that if someone said that to his face in a bar after a few drinks (or maybe sober) he would have hit them but now all he do is pout.

I’m not even joking when I say that. If this is the kind of thing that sets Zeke off enough for his agent to publicly comment on, which I’m assuming had Zeke’s blessing because he wanted everyone to know that he felt disrespected, then I can only imagine the type of reactions he’s had to comments or things others have said or done. We’ve caught a glimpse of it a few times and as someone else has said imagine all the things that haven’t been caught on video.

The guy is a head case, literally and figuratively

It was a clear joke and Jones put it in context as well.

People taking Elliott’s side on this....... LOL.

He and his agent are being babies and trying to drum up support for their stance here.

It’s a crappy PR move by them.

A lot of players get cut but they also got guaranteed money. So what protection do the owners have that players will perform at the price they’re paying them after they have already given them several million guaranteed dollars?

I don’t know how your job works obviously, but my employer can’t fire me anytime they want without severe legal action that I would almost be guaranteed to win. They would have to have quite a big file of violations on me to do so.
No more guarantee than any other employer has after they make you an offer for employment. While you are working for that company you get a weekly check whether you suck at your job or not, right? Same deal.

I work for a corporation that sets certain financial goals and if I don't achieve those goals they can and will replace me with someone who will.

I don't understand why folks are so worried about the owners who are profiting billions every year. They're gonna be okay, I just know it. Players go out and destroy their bodies for a few short years and get tossed to the street when they can no longer do it, so they try to get as much as they can for as long as they can, and no matter what, the owners still turn profits...so what's the problem?

100% correct, bro.
Im tired of this guy every commitment you make dosent always turn out to be a home run immediately sometimes you have to pay your dues and honor a commitment even if its hard . Its part of being a man .
Jerrys record stands before him if you are loyal he will take care of you and is loyal back sometimes to a fault . Zekes hold out is a slap in the face to Jerry after he stood by him through his troubles that flat out cost us games .

Jerry didn't draft him #4 to have to deal with Zekes off field troubles that got him suspended and ultimately cost us games and a playoff birth . Zekes foolishness flat out cost Jerry money and if Zeke was a man with any sense of responsibility instead of a punk kid he would understand he cost Jerry money take the top 5 offer and get his sorry entitled little butt to camp .

Personally I don't give a flying spit who runs the ball for us as long as the production is there . If Pollard can do it and is capable with good character and integrity I wouldnt care If we traded Zeke tomorrow .
That said I need to see more than runs against Rams #2 s to be sure he can give us the production but its a great start in a positive direction .
