If you have any thoughts that Pollard will be able to replace Zeke.
Pollard cant replace Zeke. Zeke is one of the special backs. I do think Pollards potential is high. It is easy to see he isnt ready to be a true bell cow back. He needs a good offseason to build his body to take on the rigors of being a bell cow RB. He can have a great rookie season but he wont get 1600+ yards like Zeke can if he returns back for game 1. Pollard will get a whole lot of all purpose yards but we need zeke to make our offense go to the top gear

I'm gonna put it like this. Dak has benefited from the attention Zeke gets. The league knows hes the engine that drives the car, or where that many teams wrong with 8-9 in the box?? Without Zeke, Dak now gets that attention, and make the committee hurt you. With a line that is not designed for a pass heavy offense, how long before Dak winds up on the injury blotter? Zeke is a important cog in the machine, and not easily replaced

Yeah what could I be afraid of? Going into the season replacing a top 3 back with a 4th rounder who didn't even start in college is a great plan.

He'll be running behind our OL, not Memphis'. That's all I care about.

Didn't we have a 3rd round RB that produced at an elite level in this scheme?

We don't need Zeke. He is a luxury.
Considering that this offense is built around the power running game, having the best RB in the league makes him much more than a luxury. I don’t like the stupid behavior that he exhibits, but the offense is built around him. If there was a better QB on the team that could beat teams with his passing ability, maybe Zeke could be replaceable, but if Dallas keeps Dak, they better make sure Zeke is there to take away the pressure from the QB.

lol, pretty sure Pollards 4.38 speed will get the defenses attention if nothing else.

Yeah, I am sure any RB will be good behind this line. Pollard will lead the league in rushing. If not any RB will do. Yes, I am being as sarcastic. A backup college RB is not going to be good with this oline or any other line. The Pollard love has reached the ridiculous level. If it works the way you are saying, why haven’t the other RBs on the roster exploded for any 100 yard games?

The Pollard love is a bit premature...

The differences is team's game plan for Zeke and it opens up a ton of other things (in addition to those extra 16 yards).

All teams game plan to stop the run. The run game is the engine of this O, not the back. Teams will still have to put the extra guy down because 7 in the box will get ate up with morris or pollard running the ball. Since 2014, this team has 1K rushers almost every year, with 3 different backs. This OL is pretty good and I think we will be just fine with or without Zeke

If you had to bet everything you had on an outcome of whether or not Pollard could replace Zeke, would you tend to look one way over the other?
its obvious we would all look towards Zeke... but , I also would have bet everything I owned that Tyson was gonnaknock Buster Douglas out. You never know what will happen.

He doesn’t have to replace him, that’s the disconnect. He has to be capable and a threat and he looks like it.

Did anyone think deangelo Williams could replace Le’Veon bell? James Connor again for Le’Veon ?

Damien Williams for Kareem hunt?

Etc etc.

A capable threat he will be....with Zeke. I don't see the Cowboys offense evolving from being Zeke-centric this year and definitely not on the back of a guy who hasn't carried the load since perhaps HS. Dak will need Zeke.

Rams didn’t play their starting defense.

You’re fooling yourself if you think Pollard is some kind of Zeke replacement or even half of what Zeke brings.
