In my business--I run one-- I honor the contracts I sign. Believe me, sometimes that causes serious inconvenience, or difficulty.

I can imagine getting half-way through a database development contract and then "holding out" for more $. This hold out crap -- when under two years of remaining contract...is more than selfish--it's flat unethical...and not the way business works.
I agree with you in theory and give you kudos but it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison. More like apples to basketballs.

Not me! I’ll never like this turd.
* I'm damn ner' aboard that tramp steamer myself,bro.o_O
The only reason they care is cuz they wanna get paid too.
Do you think Brady would have wanted more money if he had married a school teacher and not a supermodel?
It's the battle flag of blatant self serving interest of these ungrateful individuals have so brazenly ran up their own mizzen masts that's chapping my formerly un-chapped *$$ Big-G,,,as that battle flag reads: " we be the greedy overreaching of the quickly replaceable Mo-fo's/ soon to be Ho-bo's cuz' our overinflated ingrate egos dictates it so ,swashbuckling cash wrangling Cowboys of the shallow seas of which we sail"

* Man, if a dude can't fade away into blissful life long contented retirement by age 35 on the several/ multi millions he'd salted away during he's N.F.L. playing days? He's either a future crack headed whoremonger, or some wannabe club banger whose gonna prolly expire in a bad way, face down in the nudie bar parking lot with a chest full of holes sooner rather than later,,, top 5 pay slot for their position played ain't gonna cut it with these unaccomplished steppers to the Lombardi Dance-off,,,Eh? ,,,****-'em& feed 'em soup beans theno_O

All of this is a solved problem though due to the CBA - the owners and players have already agreed years ago on how the money should be split. The individual owners just get to decide how they allocate cap across their roster.

Zeke is not a Karen Silkwood or Cesar Chavez - he just wants a bigger slice of the pie than his fellow workers. Whatever money Zeke gets is just less money that another player gets.

If Zeke signed for $150M/yr, who would suffer? Not the owner, but the rest of the hard-working players that got released so the team could still fit under the salary cap.
The owner could eventually suffer if they had a crappy product and no one supported it.

The point is it’s up to the ownership to manage the Cap not the players.

No, I don’t think he would have wanted more money. Brady is ultra competitive and I don’t see him letting a few million get in the way of himself and another ring if that’s what it took.

Hypothetically, say he did marry a school teacher, when would enough be enough? People have this made up thought that because his wife makes more than any other wife that he can “afford” to give the team discounts.

He would be well worth over 180 million by himself. So if his wife made nothing that means he wouldn’t sacrifice a few million? What’s the cut off? Once Giselle made over 300 million they decided “that’s good, we don’t need anymore”. Or was it 400 million? Maybe they would still like more, maybe their net worth isn’t enough for them.

If he misses the regular season there will be players in the locker room not digging the prima Donna stuff. Look at the steelers mixed emotions. These players are in TC and grinding to get better. Player like Witten want a championship and a ring. Yes they have made there money but you didn’t hear about his contract negotiation. Some of these agents want the laundry online to use it as a tool to make the FO bend. Then the FO tries to make the player look bad. Not the agent he gets to stir the pot and stay out of the limelight. If I am the FO I start throwing his name out there. The owners likely have a list of agents that are not good to work with.

Brady has made crazy money anyways. Not to mention side money with endorsements. A big fancy car company pays him big bucks and gives him new sweet rides every year.

Elliot has screwed himself and his agent isn’t doing himself any favors. Jaylon took less and JJ is letting him open a cryo business in the star. Lol. Elliot is starting to play ego games with a man with a much bigger one and is growing tired of it.

It’s a lame excuse that people like to throw around.

The issue is the fans don't give one single thought about these players as humans. They are only there for their entertainment and when the tv is turned off, they cease to exist. So they don't care about their financial situations and what they think they are worth. All this "for the team" and "for the brand" is what the owners try and sell to fans to turn on players who have demands. Yet the greedy owners pull in more money in one year than generations could spend in their lifetimes. Fans turn on players who have demands yet they side with owners who cut players at any time and demand they take a paycut. They say it is being smart. When a player does it, he is greedy. Makes no sense.

Players don't get in the middle of the finance side of the game. No, players don't other players for getting their money. Everyone's #1 goal in playing sports is getting as much money they can get. Fans only care about rings and winning so they say players are being selfish and don't care about winning if they have contract demands.
Yea, unfortunately the NFL is a sports entertainment league which consist of football teams but winning isn’t the top priority . Making money is. It’s a business first not just a game.

If the money Brady's wife makes retired truly mattered that much to him, then Brady would already be retired.

Brady is smart and he sees the big picture. (1) If he demanded too much, Belicheck would trade him. (2) By putting his team in the position to win championships, he makes more money long term.

Like I said JJ has a much bigger ego and he is growing tired. You see the media with him having the right to joke with him. He is getting sick of it. Elliot needs to fire his agent.

They will go back and replay all of the games with Zeke and then we'll know.

Would the Cowboys have won those two games with Emmitt? Prescott is average without Elliott but he was 3-5 with him last season. We use funny equations to arrive at answers.
3 + Y = foghorn.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but the QB is average without the RB and average without the WR, maybe it's the QB. I know, I know, I am reaching here.
Lol
