He’s right. Zeke really has stabbed Jerry in the back after Jerry went to bat for him on the suspension.
Stop it nonsense.
Jerry went to bat for himself. He didn’t want his best player out for half a season. This isn’t for Zeke. This is for Jerry and his teams Super Bowl chances.

He is Samer , Except he got Baker Mayfield wrong , he called him updraftable . Which was a big mistake . Baker is the most exciting and talented QB to come out in the last few years . Don’t know how cowherd messed that up .
Cowherd likes Mayfield's talent. But he hates Mayfield's cocky attitude. Says he doesn't want that in his QB. Prefers quiet guys like Andrew Luck.

That's why he wouldn't draft him.

He may have, still spent 2 million to help Zeke, got fined to help Zeke. Now, what even ridicoulous is you spouting off again. Everybody knows Jerry's close relationships and loyalties to his players, sometimes to a fault. He's done it for lesser players and even assistant coaches, go read what he did for Josh Brent or Anthony Lynn. I'd put my money on it being "out of the kindness of his heart" rather than for the need on the field.

So, Zeke is the bad guy because the owner of the team is not too bright? Jerry has his own indiscretions, but he's the owner and Zeke's the player. Zeke, get your money and let these 9 to 5 haters soil themselves with rage over your business. Colin is just as bad as Smith, Cain, Bayless, Carter, Sharpe, Wright, and the rest.

I know others don't like Cowherd. I do. A lot. Think he is smart. This is a good piece.

Love Colin. Colin used to irritate that you know what outta me, but after I got over myself, the man is usually spot-on, and yes, cerebral and on-point with his takes. Well done piece.

A of course another stupid post. The Joneses aren't telling Zeke he's not going to get money. But Zeke bring your *** to work like the rest of your damn teammates. Who gives a flying freak about Jerry indiscretion, he's not the one begging for another contract. Especially when you have 2 years left and the man had his back. Almost anywhere else his *** would've probably been cut or traded. GTFOH

Is this the first time that you have every heard of a player holding out, because you seem to be taking this very hard. Relax

Why would anyone else go to bat for Zeke? If Zeke were on the Chiefs, they would have gone to bat for him. Any team who had him would have gone to bat for him.
Just like the Chiefs went to bat for Kareem Hunt? Or like when the Chiefs went to bat for Tyreek Hill? Jerry went after Goidell and it cost Jerry 2 million dollars

That's right, this isn't a charity, Jerry needs to pay Zeke the amount that both of them agreed to,,,, Zeke needs to provide the services that both of them agreed to.

Re-read. If your point is that Zeke is not honoring his end of the current contract, my apologies.

Just like the Chiefs went to bat for Kareem Hunt? Or like when the Chiefs went to bat for Tyreek Hill? Jerry went after Goodell and it cost Jerry 2 million dollars

The Chiefs DID go to bat for Kareem Hunt. The Chiefs asked Hunt if there was anything to the allegations of abuse and he said "No." Then when the video surfaced of him kicking the woman, the Chiefs let him go. Chiefs cut Hunt after video surfaces

“Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt," the team said in a statement. "At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”

The Chiefs never cut Tyreek Hill. So I don't know what you're talking about with respect to him.

Moreover, Jerry Jones went to bat for Zeke Elliott because he thought Zeke didn't deserve a suspension based on prior threats from Zeke's former girlfriend to derail his career and based on an NFL investigator who said she didn't find Zeke's ex credible.

Don't think for one moment Jerry was doing Zeke a FAVOR. Jerry was trying to protect his investment, and he did so because, for the most part, many people didn't find Zeke worthy to be suspended for six games.

If you HONESTLY think Jerry did Zeke a FAVOR because Zeke was as guilty as Hunt, who had a video showing him kicking a woman while she was on the ground, and simply wanted to help him out, then you're a prime candidate for real estate investment on Pluto. ;)

The old Zeke contract is dead man.

Let it go.

He’s never going to play for peanuts.

He supported them because he needed them. Brent was a starter here. I don’t know what he did for Tashard Choice though you got me there.

He's still supporting Brent. He was at practice the other day. He supported him long after he played.

It would not hurt my feelings if they moved on from Zeke. He will be a headache as long as he's here...

I do not like Cowherd but he does raise some excellent points...
