Absolutely wrong. Emmitt Smith held out during the last year of his rookie contract, NOT WITH 2 YEARS LEFT.

The more you try to cover up for this greedy RB, the more ignorant you Zeke supporters sound.

OMG. It was one year. Not two!

Still a hold out.

The 5th year option didn't even exist then. So spare me your foolish comparison.

And? A contract is a contract.
Why are you even bringing up the 5th year option? Makes absolutely no sense when talking about Emmitt's holdout in 1993. Emmitt held out with 1 year left on his rookie contract. Zeke still has 2 years left on his. BIG DIFFERENCE. You don't think Zeke and his agent were told that the Cowboys (and every other team today) have the option to pick up the 5th year option on any 1st round pick? Of course they knew, yet they still signed the contract since they knew Zeke would still get paid handsomely for that 5th year if it were to be picked up. Honor your contract the way Emmitt did.

Jane Slater is pretty dialed into this team. I remember a couple of days before camp when she said everyone expects Zeke to report. That was a month ago. Don't get me wrong I hope this Jeff Darlington is right but just in case I'm not holding my breath waiting for this to happen.
I hear ya. Its hard to tell what source's to believe as far as Elliott goes

You just wrote "a contract is a contract." Then claimed that a hold out with one year remaining on a contract is different than a holdout with two.

Are you even trying for any level of logical consistency?

I don't get it. What is the big difference? Both under contract, both held out for extensions. Emmitt and Zeke did the same thing; one of them just decided if was in his best interest to do it a year earlier.

It's written into his contract under the CBA that he can negotiate a new contract he he feels he outperformed his rookie one. Stop being so dramatic.

Dumb move caving in to Zeke. Just watch, other key players are going to start doing the same even if they have years left on their contracts. Terrible precedent to set in motion.
Not any player would be able to do what Zeke has done. This was an unusual situation and if running backs weren't so under valued Zeke would of probably not held out and played out his contract.

I’ve changed my mind.

I hope Zeke continues to hold out, he’s been disrespected not once but twice now. He’s the best and deserves to be paid as the best! Contracts are worthless! Don’t settle for anything less than Gurleys exact contract Zeke. IMOF, you should add on a little more for the amount of disrespect you’ve been shown, don’t worry the Jones boys just talk tough, they will cave to your every desire.

Don’t do it Zeke! You got them right where you want them and the season hasn’t even started.

Really? No other key player has the leverage? I can think of 1... and more important to the team.

Good thing Dak has respect, does not hold out or demand a new top overall position pay contract with years still left on his current one.
great joke keep them coming, good to laugh early in the morning.
