I can't say I agree with that. A team's chances to contend do, in fact, rely to a large degree on the quality of their players, and losing the best players very easily can decrease a team's chance to be competitive.

I don't think it really is that easy to get a RB that is that is just a slight drop off from Zeke. That's not to say a team can't tweak things a little and get by without an a+ RB, but it's not just a given with a team that emphasizes the running game like Dallas does

the new offense should be less predictable and use more ways to attack.
that should make elliott less critical and make sure of a back like pollard.
hopefully we can get another rb that is better than weber.

if the offense is not use differently, i dont see a championship.
if so, then zeke can go ahead and take those 10 games off.

"Jerry has spoken, Zeke is so screwed." :muttley:

Hold on to that dream until the bitter end.
lol, It's not my dream, I want Zeke on the field again, but I don't blame Jerry for taking a hardline with him.

Yep, just rumors at this point...
I've been seeing Werder hanging out around training camp photo bombing every public interview done there. He does this on purpose to show his ESPN bosses he's on location. There is nothing to report on from there about the progress of the Zeke story so he has to create news rather than report it. So we get fake reports like this from him. ESPN is wasting their money re-hiring this guy and sending him on this story.

Yes, though as they say, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. I bet he'd love it if his rumor turned out to be true!

No doubt. It was a stab in the dark. In the one in a million chance it comes to fruition, Werder will look like a great reporter. Otherwise, most folks don't pay attention to behavior like that and so he gets away with just saying anything to look like he's actually doing something at training camp.

Not just any future, the one you are claiming to know is coming.

Say what? I have consistently said I THINK Zeke will sign, you're the one claiming to know what's going to happpen, shall I refresh your memory?

"There is no "we'll see" about it. Jerry has spoken, Zeke is so screwed. No new contract in 2019, Zeke can play or sit out and be no closer to a new contract."

What will you say if he does sign a contract in 2019?

Like you thinking Zeke will get re-signed isn't thinking you know what will happen. :muttley:
