The thing is I don't think Zeke is all that great, and demanding a raise with two years left on a contract is absurd. What happens if a couple of pieces on the O-line go down? Is Zeke as good as Barry Sanders and be able to cope? Not even close. Barry had to run behind some historically bad lines, and had he not retied early would have been right on Emmitt's heels for the all time rushing yardage leader.

Barry Sanders deserved a Gurly type contract, not Zeke.

If we are all going to be concerned about how the players/coaches/owner feels about each and every one of our comments, it really makes no sense to have this board. None of them really cares about our thoughts, even yours.

yeah, i'm not a clown making a declaration like "derpppp i no longer like zeke! take that!"
discussion in general is fun tho.

So basically this will be what Marshall Faulk's Cabo trip to "train" Zeke looks like...

That's what he gets for taking crap about Dallas. I would like to thank Zeke for the rope a dope

Didn’t it actually take a few years for Emmitt to beat Barry’s total rushing yards after Barry retired years before him? I may be wrong but am too lazy to look it up.

I'm very curious how you could watch Zeke the last 3 years and come to the conclusion that he isn't all that great. That's mind boggling to me.

You can be upset about holding out with 2 years left on his contract all you want but he's a beast on the field. Has been since day 1.

Well if Barry played in today's NFL he would have a Gurley type contract. But theres no reason to discuss that Barry is far from playing in today's NFL. Not sure why you started a Barry Sanders discussion.

No. Barry had 1300ish yard more than Emmitt when he retired. Barry started in 1989 and Emmitt 1990.

Is it safe to slowly get back on the Zeke bandwagon again? Will I be able to pretend I was never off it, of will someone call me out?
Well you were calling for the team to tank after a couple losses last year so we already know what you’re about.:D

Like the song but hate the fact that Jerry is caving to this greedy POS.

Love this anger from you. He's a POS because of financials that have zero to do with your or your life? You sound like a miserable human being. The same person who will be cheering when he's on the field scoring TDs. But hey, as long as he dances for you on the field for your entertainment, all is well, right?

I don't like it.

Giving in to the holdout is a terrible precedent.

Now watch some guy who is not the best player on the team and perhaps in the league at his position try this and Jerry fines the guy 40K a day

I read the arguments against this and wonder if you guys get together and swap notes.

Jerry will have a behavior clause in this contract. He may even have a care taker assigned to accompany Zeke everywhere.

105.3 did the breaking news on this this morning. And the consensus was that without Zeke, no play-offs and possibly no 500 season.

I have said for a while now this would work out and people are fretting for no reason.

This move makes Dallas one of the teams in contention to go to the NFC Championship game. Without this move, not so much.

Agree here 100%......hell, we may steal a few early games but it just a matter of time before team start attack the liabilities of current RBs ( pass protection, route running etc.) and make the offense one dimensional.
