Nope. You can't have it both ways. You said cut Witten and Lee because them on the roster "occupies 2 vital spots for future stars". The Cowboys are currently keeping Witten as one of (likely) only 3 TEs. So if we cut Witten we either:

1) keep another TE so we stay at 3. So I first asked you which TE we would be cutting that we would now keep after cutting Witten that you think was a future star

or

2) we go with 2 TEs

You can't double-talk out of both. So which of the above is it?

You got a point about Witten I can't deny. He's not wanted to give up his place as a starter to no upstart in the past but I believe he has seen the light and will mentor this year. He knows his end is nigh near. On Lee his position coach probably does a good job a man by the name of Ben Bloom but Lee adds a dynamic Bloom probably cannot fathom. They both are not expensive to keep. Veterans are needed on a roster like it or not. I feel comfortable that these two are here this year. You have a right to your own opinion however.

These two, Witten/Lee, unless in dire cases, would never make most NFL teams today, bloke. We differ, urban squatter.

Same with Lee.
