The Cowboys won't be able to pay all their stars. I think they made Zeke a fair offer and a lot more than most teams would pay a RB, even an elite talent like Zeke. Time to seriously contemplate life without Zeke and field offers for a trade.

Guy is a total egotistical baby. The tweet is bollocks and directed at totally the wrong audience. The fans won't help your cause, Zeke. Tell it to someone who cares.

He really has no care about where he plays, the Cowboys, or anything else except for "me myself and I" and how much money he makes - and that figure is obviously an extension of himself and his own self-worth which is apparently measured by comparing his income to others in the league and his faulty perception of his value and worth. Someone got some poor parenting along the way. The lasting thing he may be throwing away is a legacy simply for cash. There is no legacy on another team. Sad.

The Psych Doc has spoken....thanks I'm here until Friday!:popcorn:

As a life long Cowboys fan, I also have a comment on Zeke’s career. I no longer give a damn if the rest of your career is in Dallas or not. If you handled all aspects of your life and career as Emmitt did, everyone would be on your side and you would already have the deal you want. Instead you remind us more and more of the Terrell Owens era with the constant off the field distractions and self absorption. You are quickly heading in the direction of the best day of your Cowboys career in the minds of the fans being the day you are no longer a Dallas Cowboy.
Well said.....

No, but often are.

In this case they are clearly in conflict.
Yup. You can be incredibly rich and not contend for a super bowl, or you can be...well.....incredibly rich and contend for a super bowl. The point of holding out for a few more bucks is a very stupid point.

Well put. I think if Zeke is unwilling to accept an offer, then the best thing for both sides is to let him pursue a trade. He can see what he is worth to other teams around the league. Who knows, he may find out the Cowboys are offering the most. Either way, it benefits neither side to have him sit out the season.

Zeke is full of crap. He has been offered a great deal, according to reports. All he has to do is sign the deal and he would be a Cowboy for life. So why is he still holding out? He wants to earn more than Gurley. If you look at the deal after taxes, he would be taking home more than Gurley. Something else that Zeke is not addressing is preventing him from ending his holdout. I think he is avoiding a drug test.
OH!!! Quite possible on the drug test - I hadn't thought of that!

Could be. I heard Irving say that some of the players go there to party in the offseason because the NFL don’t test you there.

He isn’t in the drug program that I know of so he will get random tested once between April and opening day. If he was already tested and passed then he won’t have to worry. If not then he could be tested. He flew back in town last week for a few days. I wonder if they got him.

I have a hard time understanding the need to be the highest paid when the honor only lasts until the next superstar is signed. There are so many other things to consider along with how much.

As much as I love Zeke the football player, Zeke the person is convincing me to run the other way.

Let Zeke test the open market , lets see if any team is willing to pay Zeke , more than 'Gurley Money' .

His agent will look like a fool ! LMAO.

This is too funny. I have to call BS. He talks like someone else is controlling his destiny. He is the one holding out because the money doesn't make him the highest paid. If he really wanted to be a Cowboy for his whole career, he would have already signed a deal and reported to work. The fact that he hasn't, speaks much louder than his empty words. I especially like how he threw Emmitt Smith out there like the situation is somehow the same. By the time that Emmitt left the Cowboys, he was a shell of himself when he was in his prime, and was going into his 14th season. Make no mistake about it, I believe that Zeke is an incredible player, and arguably the best at his position. Having said that, I also believe that Zeke continues to make himself look more and more foolish with everything he does.
Exactly. It looks to me like Jaylon Smith wants to be a Cowboy his whole career, not Zeke. And Jaylon is still a millionaire many times over.

I don't think it was him. Every time he tries to ride a tricycle he tips over because of the size of his head. It was probably Anthony Brown.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong. It was Terrance Williams. I think I remember seeing video evidence or something.

Maybe Williams blamed Anthony Brown? Nah, he'd never blame another NFL player for something he did.

* it'd be ironically most unfortunate ,that , in the not to distant future, either him or his father, came to murderous blows betwixt themselves over this failed monetary venture they've jointly cooked up& implemented,,, yeppers! Some folks might deem it an horrid event, while others could possibly view it as an inevitable end result of operational stupidity.
