Drama. Eyeballs. For all we know, they signed months ago, but Jerry had Zeke sign an NDA so the "holdout" could be the major NFL story for offseason.

If not that, could also just be keeping other teams in the dark as much as they can about what we're doing with our roster.

The other side of that pancake is "why would they announce now?" Telling the world they have a deal doesn't really do anything for them.

I agree. Weird. I just don't know who to believe anymore. I'm going to wait until next Sunday afternoon to see if Zeke is out there or not; and then I'll have to check and make sure Fox isn't using old footage.

By the way, the guy that reported it was Charles Robinson, a senior sports guy from Yahoo Sports.

So basically we have conflicting reports every few hours. I think it’s safe to say nobody knows what’s going on and lots of so called sources are completely wrong. Here’s my position going forward. It’s not close until it’s done and announced. Until then, I don’t care or trust what anyone says.

Clearly its Zeke agent putting this out to make it appear its close then if Jerry doesn't cave at 11th hour then it makes Jerry look like the guy who is blocking it.

It’s dependent on who the source is. Zekes camp makes you want to believe they aren’t close so they can get the Cowboys to up the offer.

Guys like Fish are just going to Jerry and Stephen who of course are saying it’s imminent so that when it’s not done the public hates Zeke for not taking the deal.
