Do you really think we have the Ravens 2000 defense?

Dilfer was a better QB than Dak anyway so what the heck you talking about???

P.S. Maybe your stating the truth that only with a Ravens 2000 defense we can smell a Superbowl there you might be right!!!
LMAO Dilfer was a bus driver that season. He was not better than Dak. Now you’re just talking ****.

Dallas really just needs a bus driver QB. Coop can turn short throws into long plays. The O-line is going to be better this year. IMO, Pollard coming in for Zeke is going to make the running game even better. The defense might not be all time great but I think its going to be pretty dam good.

Its going to be rare for the team to get down. For the most part, the QB is going to be looking at 8 in the box man defense, which is the easiest defense to read and throw against.

Dak will have a few games where he has to put together a late drive or something. He does have to show up for that but he has in the past. They really don't need Dak to be a different player than he was with Coop last year. More of same is enough.

Tampa Bay won with Trent Dilfer, anything is possible.
yeah, yeah, yeah, except the bucs did not win a SB with Dilfer. Regardless, teams that have won with poor qb play, like the Ravens and Bucs both had all time great defenses.

Dak Derangement Syndrome is real. At no point in his career, including 2000, was Difler better than Dak. You don't have to like the guy, but you don't get to create a false reality.

But we've got a lot to do to get to the level of the 2000 Ravens defense.

Or at least, pretty dang good across the board. But frankly, whether this team can make it to the top will all going to come down one man...Dak.

That’s how important QB’s are in this league. Some are good enough to erase all kinds of mistakes. Others are the more bus driver variety. Whatever dak is, he needs to step up and play like a top 10 QB or nothing else will matter in terms of competing for a SB.

I agree with most sportswriters who contend that we have a top ten roster. Teams have won Super Bowls with a worse qb (Bucs). Our issue to winning multiple playoff games boils down to overcoming a subpar coaching staff and the Jones culture.

But one thing is for sure, no more excuses for losing. No injury excuses, no Zeke holdout issues, no refs bad calls excuses. Losers have excuses, winners find a way to win. I'm ready for a deep playoff run. Its unanimous we have an elite roster (kudos to our improved drafting), but our coaching staff is just a collection of Jerrys friends and former players, w exception of the great Chris Richard. No excuses this season. There is no excuse for not winning consequitive playoff games this year with this roster.

Next man up has been empty words around here for too long.

Overcome Garrett and at least try to see the other teams punting unit in the divisional round.

Marinelli has been our biggest handicap in the playoffs. Totally outcoached in our last two losses. The biggest reason we lost both games.

You better look into that bud as your grand illusions of a Dak being a Franchise QB are problematic at best ......thks

P.S. Can't be only myself here....where's that 30 million + a year contract for Dak seems the FO ain't serving it up 1 week prior to kick-off.....lol....GL man and enjoy the Field goals!!!

Those defenses come around once in every 10-15 years our Cowboys are not at that level at this point.
Unfortunately.......

The last 5 years or so I've thought there's no way this teams going to win a Super Bowl with Jason Garrett as Head Coach. Then I remembered we won with Barry Switzer so I guess sometimes a head coach doesn't matter very much

Show me where I ever said that?

I've expressed my doubts about Dak many times. He's not elite, but he's not trash either. You've lost any sense of objectivity about him.

Departure of worst offensive coordinator in football.
Very good rookie runningback
QB (despite what the numbers say) who improves every year
WR who opened up the offense last year will be here for all 16 games
Return of the best C in football, which should improve the entire offense. Better inside running and Dak won't be sacked so much this year. Not to mention Zack will automatically be better and plays will be diagnosed easier.
Return of one of our all-time leaders in Witten, whose real value will be on 3rd down and as a blocker.
